Katsuki huffed as he let Yamada fuss with his blond spikes yet again. It was the day of Hawks' and Nora's wedding, and all three boys had a part to play.
The hero had chosen for a private ceremony with just his pack and Nora had chosen a very select set of friends. Ekko, Kikyo, Rose, and Lark were her bridesmaids while the boys and Kan were the groomsmen. Big Brother had insisted on being the "flower girl" and said he had something to make Hawks smile on the big day. Stryker then joined in and claimed ring bearer for himself.
"Sometimes your hair has a mind of its own," Yamada huffed.
"Not as bad as the nerds," Katsuki grumbled, cutting his eyes to where Hawks sat with Izuku. "Today's a bad day for him."
Yamada looked over at his son and smiled. "Your friend just had a bad dream. That's why we made this room omega only."
Red eyes cut up to his uncle. "It was about that alpha asshole right? The one that tried to kidnap him?"
Yamada crouched down. "No, sweetie. He told your Uncle Sho and me that it was one of the others. We described him to the police..."
"But it's a kid's word against grown ups," Katsuki huffed as he looked back at the silent boy in Hawks' arms. "How come Uncle Ryu isn't helping?"
Yamada smiled. "He is, buddy," the man pulled his nephew into his lap. "That's why Izuku is okay with talking to us about it now. Therapy helps us deal with our past, not take away the bad feelings that come with it."
Katsuki leaned into Yamada, watching his friend as Hawks continued to whisper and talk to him. Lark started to fuss in the bassinet next to them. Izuku jerked away, eyes wide.
"Sorry," the boy whispered.
"Come here, puffling," Hawks smiled as he directed some of his feathers to lift the infant in her beautiful pastel pink dress out and into his arms. "I bet your cousin would love snuggles with you."
Izuku hesitated, looking back at Yamada.
"Go ahead, pup," Yamada assured. "I taught your uncle your favorite lullaby so he could sing it for Lark. I bet you'd feel better if he sang it for you and your cousin."
Izuku hugged Usagi to his chest, then slowly crawled back into Hawks' lap. Hawks smiled and gently started to rock them both.
"Close your eyes," Hawks sang softly. "Have no fear, the monster's gone, he's on the run, and daddy's here. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful pup. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful pup."
Katsuki relaxed in Yamada's arms as he saw both Lark and Izuku calming down in Hawks' hold while the man sang softly. It became even more soothing when Yamada joined in.
"Before you go to sleep," the two men sang, "Say a little prayer every day in every way it's getting better and better."
And that was how Ekko found them a little while later. The redhead smiled as the pastel green dress swirled around her, long hair twisted up with the beautiful snowflake hairpin she'd gotten on her birthday.
Izuku blinked up at her. "Wow...pretty."
"It's time," she smiled, blushing at Izuku's whispered compliment. "Ready for me to take little miss?"
Hawks nodded as he offered up his daughter. "Just watch your hairpin. She likes trying to grab stuff."
Lark giggled, chubby arms reaching up for Ekko happily. Ekko leaned down, easily scooping the infant into her arms. Everyone smiled when Lark became obsessed with the soft leather gloves she wore - the same pair that had been her courting gift months ago.
