Exhaling a sigh, I tapped my pen against the file, my eyebrows furrowing in distaste at the ridiculous suggestions displayed in front of me.

I glanced at Khanna—— as he shuffled on his feet.

"Err, Sir?" Khanna smiled nervously. I arched an eyebrow. "Mishra and I got some more files——"

"No," I shook my head. "No more files." Rubbing my temple in irritation, I shut the file in front of me in frustration. "None of these will work!" I threw the file onto the small table in front of me. "Her tastes are specific and simple, these are all too," I gestured vaguely.

"Extreme?" Khanna offered, in a timid voice.

"Yes," I nodded, closing my eyes as frustration built up inside me. "Way too much."

A moment passed in silence, before I opened my eyes as Khanna cleared his throat, "May I suggest something, Sir?"

I arched an eyebrow. "Might as well," I shrugged.

"Isn't there someone you could call up who would let you know about the specifics of Annika Ma'am's tastes or wishes for a 'perfect date'?" Khanna shrugged.

I frowned. "Who could I call? I don't know any of her close friends who'd know about these things in detail. Gauri would not be able to keep it a secret for long. She'd get far too excited and blabber everything."

"What about Annika Ma'am's other friends?" Khanna suggested. "The young a man, whose house you visited in Pune?"

"No," I shook my head.

For some reason, it made me feel uncomfortable, thinking about asking someone who happened to have had a crush on my 'girlfriend' in the past—— for advice on how to plan a perfect date for said 'girlfriend'.

"Erm, Sir?" Khanna spoke up hesitantly. "What about," he smiled nervously.

"What?" I looked at him pointedly. "Spit it out, Khanna."

"What if you asked Annika Ma'am's other friend? The one who drove you to Pune?" He chuckled nervously. "Vikram Maheshwari."

I blinked.

Excuse me?!

How could he?!

Out of all the people he could've suggested, he decided to suggest the one man who or rated me like no other!
