"Next, we have one song, dedicated to our parents from each other, because they are fu—— fudging," Priyanka changed her choice of word, with a hasty smile as Jahnvi Aunty and Tej Uncle both gave her matching frowns. "Fudging adorable and nauseatingly in love."

Jahnvi Aunty shook her head, smiling amusedly as Tej Uncle tried to lean forward to kiss his wife on the cheek, only to have Jahnvi Aunty place a hand over his mouth and push him away, gently.

Tujhe dekha toh yeh jaana sanam
Pyar hota hai deewana sanam

I glanced at Mr. Oberoi, placing my forehead on his shoulder, as I struggled to not laugh. "Is everyone in your family an SRK plus Kajol fan?" I looked up at him teasingly, resting my cheek on his shoulder.

Ab yahan se kahan jaaye hum
Teri baahon mein mar jaaye hum

"Pretty much," he replied, a corner of his lips curving upwards in an amused smile.

Tujhe dekha toh yeh jaana sanam
Pyar hota hai deewana sanam

"So, what?" My question made him look at me curiously. "Did you grow up watching movies like DDLJ, K3G Kuch Kuch Hota Hain and et cetera?"

Ab yahan se kahan jaaye hum
Teri baahon mein mar jaaye hum

"When we were younger, yes," Mr. Oberoi nodded. "And later on, when Prinku was a teenager." He rolled his eyes, fondly. "She adored the unrealistic love stories."

Tujhe dekha toh yeh jaana sanam

"What's so unrealistic?" I frowned.

He arched an eyebrow, pointedly. "You think the stories make sense?"

La la la ... la la la
La la la ... la la la

"A lot of them may be unrealistic," I nodded. "But a lot of them have beautiful stories too."

He sighed, "Yes, yes. I know. Om Shanti Om, Kal Ho Naa Ho," he rolled his eyes, looking at me, bemused. "Am I right?"

Aankhen meri, sapne tere
Dil mera, yaadein teri

I blinked.

He remembers?

"I'm surprised you remember," I muttered.

Oh ... mera hai kya, sab kuch tera
Jaan teri, saansein teri

"Well, I did remember what your favourite food was from a few months ago just because your sister mentioned it in passing," he looked at me, pointedly.

"True," I acquiesced, with a nod.

He smiled, smugly, making me exhale in exasperation as I shook my head.

Meri aankhon mein aasoon tere aa gaye
Muskurane lage sare gham

"What about your parents?" He asked softly.
