"Harry Potter!" shouted Dumbledore, as the entire Hall remained silent.
Harry stood abruptly and quickly enough that those around him barely noticed as he left the table and went straight to the Goblet of Fire. "I refuse your decision and challenge your position," stated Harry firmly as he drew closer to the front of the Great Hall where the Goblet stood. This statement was met with gasps that echoed and seemed to reverberate off the walls of the hall to Harry.
Suddenly, a myriad of colorful flames burst from the Goblet and surrounded Harry and itself once Harry stood directly in front of it.

An hour passed, outside of the flames where everyone, including the champions, was now waiting in the hall as no one knew what might happen. Albus Dumbledore seemed to sense something first and as he reacted to it, the flames turned a shocking green and flowed back to the Goblet now held in Harry's hands as his eyes seemed to burst into flame with the same green hew they always held. "As the new proxy for the impartial judge of the fourth position of champion in the Tournament, I now bind Tom Riddle Jr. to the agreement of the Triwizard Tournament."
Shock and confusion rang through the hall now as only Albus Dumbledore knew that the new final champion went by his own self-proclaimed title of 'Lord Voldemort.'

November 24, 1994-
As the three champions got ready to fight the dragons they each knew about beforehand, Harry, still holding the Goblet of green flames, "Champions, before the moon is at the highest point, all four of you must step forth into the arena to face your foe. If you do not, you will forfeit your magic, as agreed to in the contract." Having heard similar things over the past few weeks, the three regular champions shuffled around a bit still not knowing who Tom Riddle Jr. is. Nobody, including Dumbledore, had managed to get any reaction out of Harry more than statements of this sort ever since he took on the role of vocal proxy for the Goblet of Fire. 'Professor Moody' tried to attack Harry Potter once he put Tom Riddle Jr. up for the tournament and ended up becoming a thrall to the Goblet instead so now he stands by to protect Harry from anyone or anything that may disturb the Goblet and its proxy; everyone became shocked once again as he reverted back to his form of Barty Crouch Jr. and Mad-Eye was found later that night. Once the Department of Mysteries was brought in to take a look it was determined that both Harry and Barty Jr. would not have a need for eating or sleeping and Harry would always be ready to answer any questions about the contracts and the rules of the tournament; furthermore, the D.O.M. let everyone know that any who attack the two will join Crouch Jr. and both of the ones who are mentally held by the Goblet will be released at the completion of the tournament.

Because the three champions knew what to avoid when feeling for their dragon, the Hungarian Horntail, which was marked for last, was not chosen by any present and left in the bag waiting for Tom to make his appearance.
One by one, each Champion took on their dragon and succeeded in gathering their egg clue for the second task. At one point, just before the scores were cast for the first participant, Harry interrupted the judging score totals, "Judges! You will judge each Champion fairly. Those who fail to do so will join Barty Crouch Jr behind me and be forced by the Goblet to judge fairly without any other will for the rest of the tournament." This statement silenced the crowd as Igor Karkaroff lowered his wand with fear growing in his eyes as he rethought his own vote before casting a more proper score. Finally, everyone waited for the last competitor to arrive. By sundown, the only ones remaining near the were the dragon handlers, Bagman, Percy Weasley, the three Headmasters, Harry, and Barty Crouch Jr. As the time got closer to the moon's zenith, the anticipation grew rather stagnant as nobody thought Tom Riddle would show.
