Harry watched as the love of his life studied for her mastery exam. She was already a master in Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, Alchemy, Spell Creation and now she was about to become a master in Healing. He was so proud of Hermione, it almost hurt.

As he stood there watching her read over her notes for her big test the next day, Harry couldn't keep the smile off his face. She was amazing and he knew if her mind ever quit, she'd be dead.

Tomorrow was her big day and his too, it was when he was going to snog her senseless and let her know his feelings had changed to romantic. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with the petite and fiery witch. He just hoped she returned his interests.

Harry quietly stepped back when he felt his wand alert him it was time for Hermione to take a break. He had started the habit after she moved into Grimmauld Place when her flat had been broken into. She had been working on her Alchemy mastery then. Four years later and she was still studying to become a master. Harry chuckled as he made his way to the kitchen. He knew Hermione loved learning and knew it would never change. However, she had said that this was the last one. Of course, she had said that after she got her Alchemy mastery too.

As Harry fixed the tea and made a few snacks for them, he shook his head, that witch had no clue how to stop but he didn't mind; she wouldn't be Hermione otherwise. With this thought, he carried the tray to the library and set it down on a table nearby then walked over to the oblivious witch and whispered, "Break time, love."

Hermione jumped about a foot before she realized it was just Harry letting her know it was time for tea. She smiled at him and set her quill down.

"Already?" Hermione stretched before standing to move to the couch.

"It's been three hours, 'Mione." Harry shook his head. She had always been this way since he had known her, getting so lost in her studies, whatever they may be, and forgetting the body needed food as well and needed to stretch out the kinks.

"What would I do without you, Harry?" Hermione pondered as she nibbled on a snack.

"Not something you'll ever find out, love." Harry smiled.

"Thank goodness for that." Hermione smiled back. She loved her best friend and thanked everyday they had survived the War together. She didn't want to consider a world without Harry in it; it hurt to just briefly think about.

As she took her break, she watched Harry from the corner of her eye. He was so handsome and kind. She had fallen for him while they were still at Hogwarts but hadn't let her feelings known, the time was never right. Now, now she had no clue how to broach the subject, too afraid he didn't see her that way.

Well, Hermione planned to let him know after she finished her Mastery exam. It was time she knew one way or the other. If he didn't return her feelings then she planned to obliviate the awkward moment and continue on as they were. Her heart would ache but she would at least know.

While sitting on the couch, Harry wondered what was going through her mind. She wasn't fretting over what was to come, no, something else was occupying her thoughts. It amused Harry that he could count on one hand just how many times his best friend thought of nothing. He chuckled silently; there was always something or several somethings running rampant in her mind. She really had no clue how to shutdown and fully relax.
