Two weeks later..

Joshua’s move to the new apartment was in full swing. With boxes piled high and movers bustling about, he felt both excitement and exhaustion. His five-year-old son, Jeongin, ran around energetically, curious about their new home in flat 702 of C Wing.

“Jeongin, stay close to me, buddy,” Joshua called out, trying to keep an eye on his adventurous son while directing the movers.

Just then, Seungkwan arrived, holding his two-year-old daughter, Ha-eun, in his arms. He wore a big smile, ready to lend a hand.

“Joshua hyung! Need any help?” Seungkwan called out, making his way through the boxes.

Joshua looked up, relief washing over him. “Seungkwan, you’re a lifesaver. Thanks for coming.”

“No problem at all,” Seungkwan said, setting Ha-eun down carefully. The little girl toddled over to Jeongin, who was more than happy to show her his favorite toy truck.

“We’ll keep an eye on the kids while we unpack. It’s like a mini playdate,” Seungkwan suggested with a grin.

Joshua nodded gratefully. “Sounds perfect. Let’s get started.”

They worked together, efficiently unpacking and arranging the essentials. Seungkwan’s familiarity with the building proved invaluable as he pointed out the best places for storage and how to navigate the quirks of the apartment.

Jeongin and Ha-eun played nearby, their giggles filling the room and making the process feel less like a chore and more like a family gathering. Every so often, Seungkwan would scoop Ha-eun up and give her a spin, eliciting delighted squeals.

“Jeongin seems to be adjusting well,” Seungkwan observed as they took a short break. The kids were busy coloring in a corner, content in each other’s company.

“Yeah, he loves it here already,” Joshua replied, watching his son with a fond smile. “And having you guys around makes it even better.”

Seungkwan clapped Joshua on the back. “We’re happy to have you both here. This place will feel like home in no time.”

By the end of the day, the major unpacking was done. The apartment looked cozy and inviting, with Joshua’s personal touches blending seamlessly into the new space. Seungkwan had been an incredible help, and Joshua couldn’t have asked for a better friend.

As they stood in the living room, surveying their work, Seungkwan suggested, “Why don’t we have dinner together? There’s a great family restaurant just around the corner. My treat.”

Joshua smiled, feeling the warmth of Seungkwan’s friendship. “That sounds wonderful. Let’s do it.”

Gathering the kids, they headed out, the evening sun casting a golden glow on the society. As they walked, Joshua felt a deep sense of gratitude. This move was more than just finding a new apartment; it was about creating a new life surrounded by people who cared.
