Seungkwan’s house is quite in evening as Hansol were dozing of on his laptop and Seungkwan just came back from his job.
Haeun is with her grandmother, so sudden rang of bell shocked him.
Standing there Moonbin!
Moonbin, his old high school friend and the social butterfly extraordinaire, decided to drop by for a visit. Moonbin was the type of person who could walk into a room and make it feel like a party just started. When he entered the house,Seungkwan immediately ran out from behind the door, arms wide open.
“Moonbin! I can’t believe you’re here!” Seungkwan practically shrieked, pulling him into an enthusiastic hug.
“Of course, I’m here! Your mother told me to visit! I wasn’t going to miss your rants and you showing off your barista skills?” Moonbin replied with a laugh, hugging him just as tightly.
They stood there for a little too long, ignoring the quiet snickering more importantly, the death glare from Hansol, who was sitting in the sofa with his laptop.
"Who is he?" Hansol asked.
Seungkwan finally remembered where he was and pulled away, though Moonbin kept an arm slung around his shoulder." look who it is! My old buddy, Moonbin!”
Hansol’s lips twitched into a dry smile. “Oh wow. A walking sunshine in a human form. How lucky for us.”
Moonbin, unfazed, grinned. “You must be Hansol. Seungkwan’s mother told me about you.”
“Has she?” Hansol said, raising an eyebrow. “I hope she told you I’m his most reliable someone and not someone who randomly shows up to hog all his attention.”
Seungkwan shot Hansol a warning look. “Hansol, don’t start.”
“Start what?” Hansol said innocently, leaning back in his seat. “I’m just stating facts. I wouldn’t want Moonbin to get the wrong impression about our very… balanced dynamic.”
Moonbin chuckled and tightened his grip around Seungkwan. “Don’t worry. I’m not here to steal your dynamic. Just catching up with my favorite high school pal.”
Seungkwan laughed, flattered but clearly oblivious to Hansol’s growing irritation. “You’re still as sweet as ever, Moonbin.”
Hansol couldn’t hold back. “Yeah, sweet. Like a bowl of sugar someone just dumped on my perfectly fine cup of coffee.”
Moonbin turned to Hansol, eyes twinkling. “Wow, you’re sharp. I like that. You and Seungkwan must have the funniest banter.”
Hansol smiled thinly. “Oh, it’s hilarious. Like a comedy show. Only one of us doesn’t know when the curtain’s supposed to drop.”
Seungkwan groaned. “Hansol, can you stop being so dramatic for once?”
Hansol leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand. “Oh, I’m not dramatic, Seungkwan. Moonbin’s the main event today, right? I’m just the understudy watching the show.”
Moonbin’s laugh rang out, carefree. “I can see why you keep Hansol around. He’s got spunk.”
“Spunk?!” Hansol said, looking genuinely offended for the first time. “I am a person of substance, thank you very much.”
Seungkwan tried to hide his giggles, but it was no use. He patted Hansol on the head as if to appease him, only making it worse.
Moonbin noticed and smirked. “Aw, don’t be mad, Hansol. Here, I’ll share him for a bit.” He let go of Seungkwan and gestured dramatically.
Hansol crossed his arms. “Oh, no need. I’m just here to enjoy my day and your riveting conversations about high school memories. It’s… enlightening.”
Seungkwan finally broke. “Okay, Hansol, enough with the sarcasm. Why don’t you go back home?so We can hang out together.”
Hansol glanced at Moonbin, then at Seungkwan. “Tempting offer. But I think I’ll stay here and silently judge your life choices instead. It’s what I do best.”
Moonbin leaned closer to Seungkwan and whispered loud enough for Hansol to hear, “He’s really protective of you, huh?”
Seungkwan scoffed slightly. “Hansol’s just… Hansol. He means well.”
Hansol, not missing a beat, deadpanned, “Yeah, I mean well. In the same way cats ‘mean well’ when they knock things off tables.”
Moonbin burst into laughter, and even Seungkwan couldn’t help but join in. Hansol, though still jealous, allowed a small smirk to creep onto his face. As much as Moonbin annoyed him, the guy was undeniably fun.
Seungkwan sat at corner watching the duo and questioning his life decisions!
“Next time, I’m charging admission for this soap opera.”He scoffed loudly.
