The crowd's cheers carried on until night fall, as it lead to a peaceful evening among the people. Excited for their new political figures for the clan, however what was unknown to the Fujioka clan was a hateful gaze watching from afar.
"Haruto-kun! You've got to see this!" exclaimed a woman with brown skin and long, curly black hair. The addressed man turned and walked over, his open, loose blue kimono fluttering slightly, and his long, gray-blue hair cascading over his shoulders.
"What is it, Akari-chan?" he inquired, his eyes widening at the sight of the beautiful painting in Akari's hands. It depicted both Akari and Haruto cradling two infants who inherited her features—caramel brown skin and black curly hair—with Haruto's blue eyes. "Is that us with... children?" Haruto murmured, a faint red hue dusting his cheeks as he gazed at the image.
"I'm aware that we'll eventually have children to inherit the throne as we age, but as I strolled down the corridor, I sensed a faint energy emanating from the tearoom across the palace. Curious, I turned back to investigate and discovered a mirror glowing in the corner. Upon touching it, this appeared," Akari explained, prompting a soft chuckle from Haruto.
"It appears you've come across the mirror of fate; it usually reveals a joyous future to the beholder, though it seldom reveals itself to those not of the Fujioka lineage," Haruto said, smiling softly as he placed his hand gently on the small of her back. Akari leaned into his touch, and together they smiled at the future they held.

.Pained screams echoed through the chamber where Akari lay, her belly round and distended with pregnancy. Haruto was at her side in a heartbeat, lifting her into his arms and hurrying to the medical wing. He kept a calm exterior while his wife clung to him, knowing the time to meet their twins was near. After navigating the twisting corridors, Haruto entered the medical wing, where the doctors promptly took over Akari's care.
"Your majesty!" called a middle-aged woman with brown hair and pale skin, adorned in a long purple kimono decorated with white lilies. Haruto turned; his curiosity piqued. "I apologize for interrupting this joyous time with your wife and unborn children, but an urgent letter demanding your immediate attention has arrived," she said, bowing her head, letter in hand. Haruto, pinching the bridge of his nose in thought, gestured for her to rise. "I cannot attend to the letter now, but I will take it and respond once Akari and the children are settled," he replied promptly, unable to decipher the woman's inscrutable expression.
"Your Majesty, I understand your reluctance to attend to work matters while your wife is in labor, but this letter from a village in Konohagakure requests aid. Shouldn't this be your primary concern at the moment?" she inquired; her eyebrows arched as her hands stayed positioned in front. Haruto sighed and placed his hand on his hip, eyeing the woman intently. 'Now that I think about it, I don't recognize this woman; she's not one of my secretaries, nor is she one of Akari's.' With a narrowed gaze, Haruto reached out to take the letter from her before turning away. "Tread carefully on the razor's edge; you may not appreciate the consequences of such innocence," the man with gray-blue hair remarked before entering the room where Akari had been taken, leaving the woman standing motionless in the center of the medical wing.
Approximately twelve and a half hours later, the twins were safely delivered into the world on April 6th. After a series of minor check-ups, they were presented to the king and queen. Haruto cradled the girl, observing her tiny fists. "Haruto-kun, what should we name them?" inquired Akari. Haruto pondered for a moment before responding, "Let's name the girl Misaki, meaning 'Beautiful Blossom,' and the boy Mahiko, meaning 'Someone with grace.' " Akari's smile and nod sealed the names as the family of four savored the moment together.
