Four days have passed since I last spoke with my father regarding the events that brought us to Konoha. I have grown restless waiting for everyone else to finish this exam. So far, only ones I have seen are the sand ninja; they did not appear to have any bruises on them. It is probably due to that boy Gaara. They arrived about twelve hours after I completed the exam, I did not interact with them much, but they seemed surprised that I was here alone.I was leaning against the wall in the main room of the tower as the time limit for the exam approached. I was called down to wait for the others, and several people were already present, including teams 8 and 10. Approximately twenty minutes later team 7 and other teams arrived, guided by the people summoned by the scrolls.
"Alright! Now that the time limit for the exam is up, please line up in five straight lines to begin the third exam!" An official called out, begrudgingly I stood up straight and stood in the very back of a line. It wasn't long before the Hokage stepped forward and captured everyone's attention to explain the purpose of the Chunin Exams. I kept the best neutral expression I could manage to suppress my hatred for this man, the amount of betrayal I felt was beyond understandable. Suddenly, a ninja appeared and requested to elucidate the forthcoming exam. With permission granted, he stood, coughing profusely. Turning around, I recognized Hayate-sensei; our eyes met, and he nodded. His kenjutsu training had saved my life in numerous battles. Despite public records indicating no dangerous missions, my private experiences told a different story.
Hayate-Sensei announced the need for a preliminary exam due to our large number and suggested that anyone not in peak physical condition should consider withdrawing. As he finished speaking, his severe coughing fit was a stark reminder of the incurable illness he faced, fueling my resolve to find a cure. "The preliminaries will begin immediately," he declared, despite some objections. I was unfazed, ready to prove myself. "The winner will be determined by a one-on-one sudden death match," he added, brandishing a clipboard. A grin spread across my face, as I finally get to show everyone what I'm made of.
Somewhere in front of me, I heard Sasuke groan. shifting my attention, I saw him trembling, clutching his shoulder. "Sasuke... you have to quit these preliminaries..." Sakura said, I raised a brow. 'Did the 'amazing Uchiha' get hurt in battle?' I thought briefly, they argued about whatever was troubling him a little, before Hayate sensei made the statement that anyone who was unable to fight leave now. As Sakura was about to raise her hand, Sasuke grabbed her hand and held it down. 'This is interesting, I'll ask Sakura about it later....and what had made her cut her hair so short.
"Before we start the preliminaries, I would like to have an honorary match which the person with best score on this exam gets to choose their opponent!" Lord third announced, I frowned not understanding what was going on. 'What the hell is he talking about? Honorary match?' My thoughts were interrupted by lord third calling me to the front, I paused as everyone turned to look at me. I blinked, before walking around to the front to stand before the hokage. Keeping a neutral expression, the hokage's hands touched my shoulders and turned me around to face the crowd.
"This here is Fujioka Misaki. She completed the test four hours after it was administered So, for the first match in the preliminaries, it will be Misaki against anyone of her choice." I frowned as the room grew tense. I could feel glares staring into soul. "Quick question," I said abruptly. The Hokage hummed in acknowledgment. "My match isn't limited the other examinees, is it? It wouldn't be fair for someone like me to fight against them. If that's the case, you might well have three of them take me on," I said loudly, placing hand on my hip and narrowing my eyes "and quite frankly, none of them have piqued my interest," I stated blank as the room glared at me.
"Yes, the match is only meant to be fought amongst the examinees. just have to look around and see who you think will be a challenge for you," the hokage said, giving my shoulder a light squeeze before letting loose it to go look around. I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. 'Why is he doing this? The matchmaking would've sufficed.' I looked up at the crowd and glanced, noticing the nervous expressions on some of their faces. My gaze then stopped on a familiar shade of purple hair. I furrowed my brows and made my way to the person. As I got closer, I realized it was the girl from the forest.
"It's you again? I didn't think you would pass the survival test," I said, feigning surprise as my eyes widened. The girl rolled eyes and turned her head towards me. "Well, I did, and quite frankly someone needs to put you in your place. For someone so small, you have such a big ego, don't you?" she retorted, her now red eyes narrowing at me. A low chuckle escaped my lips before I could catch it. She then leaned in and spoke loudly, "You probably made your way up through favors considering how you flew through this exam with 'no help'. Little miss thing over here is using her family name to—" I grabbed her by the face, squeezing it hard, causing her to be unable to talk.
"Hokage-Sama....I want this one..." I said wide-eyed as the grin on my face grew wide. I glanced at him, as he looked somewhat uncomfortable with my expression. "Alright then, everyone clear the floor and watch from the second-floor balcony!"

Blood was splattered in a good portion of the makeshift arena, the girl in front of me was covered in her own blood. Her arms and legs bent in ways it shouldn't be possible, her screams echoed throughout the room.
'Surrender or die' I remember telling her before it was too late but she kept pushing... Hayate-sensei ran towards the girl after telling me the battle was over and I was the winner. I stood in place watching the medics rush in full panic trying to pick up the girl and lay her on the stretcher which harming her anymore.
"YOUR A MONSTER!" I heard a familiar high pitched voice rang out in fear, I glanced up seeing Sakura shaking and hiding behind the team. The gennin were quiet and had horrified expressions, lord third eventually came down to get me off the arena. He carefully grabbed my arm to direct me back to my room.
"Let's take a 15 minute break, during that time I expect you all to be prepared for battle." Hayate-Sensei called to them, on the way to my room the walk was silent. It didn't matter to me how I made myself look by torturing that girl my point was proven and that was all that mattered.
After I was escorted to my chamber I was told to clean myself up and stay here until the preliminaries were over. And I would be talked to after, I shrugged and shut the door in lord thirds face while I awaited the outcome of the exam.
