Chapter 18

Quick Breaths.

Soonyoung was panting after just a few basic steps Aaliyah Brielle had taught him. He was in his socks since Aaliyah was barefoot.

Basic steps. Those words kept repeating in Soonyoung's head after Bree told him she would be kind enough to teach him the basic steps for free. Soonyoung couldn't believe that he was getting a free lesson from the lady. He was amazed by the way she danced.

"Isn't this a dance for couples?" Soonyoung asked naively.

"Not necessarily for couples if you are referring to people who are in a romantic relationship. But this is more commonly known for duos," Bree clarified.

"Yeah. I actually didn't mean it that way, too," Soonyoung was a bit embarrassed.

"No worries. It is fine," Bree consoled him. "And yeah, some of them do fall in love with each other and end up being together," Bree added as she also worked with strangers-to-couples dancers.

Soonyoung finally nodded and talked about, "Like the girl and boy in Step Up."

Aaliyah nodded.

Unbeknownst to the two of them, they have been in the room for over two hours. Bree's staff knew that the two were having a superb time together, so they did not want to disturb them.

They reassigned the students to another room, and the first teacher was changed immediately.

Bree felt something go off when she received a message on her watch.

Bea: Madam Bree, Mr. Jonathan is almost done with the first class. Are you done with your class with Sir Hoshi?

When she looked at her watch, she panicked for a bit. But also calmly collected herself after. "We need to head to class now. My other students are already waiting for me," Bree immediately rushed out of the room after packing her things. Soonyoung followed after.

"Hello, everyone! Are you having a great time with Jonathan?" The class immediately went wild after seeing the great Aaliyah Brielle. They were so excited that they abruptly stood up, left their water bottles, and went to the dance floor again.

Bree chucked. "I didn't expect you guys to be this enthusiastic. Anyway, I apologize for being late. Something just came up. Shall we start the next session?"

Soonyoung was witnessing everything. He was amazed that people waited for Briele to teach them. They were there to learn a lesson from her.

He has always been curious about how she teaches other students other than them.

Two more hours of dance lessons before they were finally dismissed. "Ssaem," Soonyoung called Brielle after their class while she was fixing her things.

"Hmm?" she hummed in response to the guy.

"Do you have plans this lunch, ssaem?" Soonyoung bravely asked. He was a shy guy, but he dared to do it.

Brielle stopped in her tracks and looked at the guy. "I don't. Are you inviting me for lunch, perhaps?" Bree has never been so vocal since long ago. It seemed like someone was bringing back her typical attitude.

Soonyoung was astounded but nodded in response.

"Sure. Let me fix my things first so we can go for lunch before heading to your company for the practice today," Bree rushed to get her things and went to her office to take a shower and bring changed clothes.

Soonyoung had also finished showering, so he headed outside to wait for Aaliyah outside the studio.

"Let's go?" the guy was flustered. He was kicking mindlessly while waiting for the girl to arrive. He was surprised by the sudden appearance.

When they were in the building lobby, a familiar face also passed by. "AB! Hi!" A girl in all red waved. It was none other than her friend, Ruro. Bree waved to the girl, but she also noticed the girl staring at the guy beside her.

"Mr. Kwon, hi!" Ruro also waved at the guy. Soonyoung bowed after recognizing the girl. "Are you heading for lunch together?" Ru gave Bree another weird glance while asking the two.

"Yes, why?" Bree answered the curious girl.

"Use my car instead of yours. Thank me later," Ru handed Brielle a car key on a red keychain. Ru walks away after giving the girl her car keys.

"Did you bring your car?" Bree asked. Soonyoung didn't bring his car, either, so he naturally shook his head. "I guess we should go with this," Bree said.

They headed to the private parking where the executives park their cars. Soonyoung was following Bree.

Bree sighed right after seeing the car that Ru asked them to use. Na, not the heavily tinted car, she told in her head.

"Mind if I drive?" Soonyoung then offered to drive the car, which relieved her. She handed the car keys to me after unlocking the doors, then went to the passenger seat.

Soonyoung took the keys and followed her after. He was amazed by the Buggati Chiron, and it was bloody red as usual. "Your friend does love red," he commented when he started the engine. "Her name is Ruby, after all," Aaliyah chuckled, and so did Soonyoung.

"We're going," Soonyoung gave Bree a prior notice before finally getting out of the parking area.

That was the only time they realized what Ru had been implying a while ago. In front of the building, paparazzi and some fans were hiding. Soonyoung was a bit scared when he saw people outside the building. It was because the DNCE studio was not only teaching Seventeen and other Hybe label artists but also hosting other idols to film their cover songs—the reason for the sudden fluctuation in people in front of the building.

Bree saw Soonyoung bite his lip and noticed he looked distraught. "Don't worry, the car is tinted. No one will notice you," Bree comforted him.

Soonyoung immediately calmed down after hearing Aaliyah's words. Thereupon, he focused on driving to the restaurant for their lunch.
