Chapter 28: Liu Kang's Death and Serena's Revenge

After watching Liu Kang getting killed, Shinnok brought all of her friends as he threw them to the ground in front of her. Raiden and the other Earthrealm warriors were beaten up badly after they attempt to stop him from corruption. Diamond smirked as he felt relief to see his master.
"No! What have you done!?" Serena cried out.
"You see, Serena, you don't want this to happen, do you? But you wouldn't go back to us, you wanted to be with this monterous zombie." Diamond said with a smirk.
"Excuse me!?" Serena said in anger.
"Now if you have a change of heart, I can make all of this over and everyone can go free if you agree to marry me, be my wife, and never and I mean never see that bastard Liu Kang again. Just one word." Diamond said with a twisted look.
Her eyes glowed with green, gritting her teeth sharply. Her amulet that Raiden has given to her started to glow with the power of Moon. She was becoming Goddess of Moon. Shinnok and Diamond felt her rumble. Her hidden power finally manifested itself as her body became enveloped in a green aura just like Johnny's when he saved Sonya.
"You son of a bitch!" Serena yelled as she unleashed her power and knocked them out. After that, she looked at her hands, realizing she has unleashed her father's power and her amulet started to glow within her chest. She had been wearing the amulet this whole time.
"Whoa! It does run for the family!" Serena exclaimed. With this new power, Serena was able to defeat the fallen Elder God and Diamond. Diamond ended up losing his footing and topples from the balcony to his demise.
With Shinnok and Diamond defeated, Serena helped Raiden reach back to Earthrealm to the Jinsei, where he was able to cleanse Earthrealm's energy of Shinnok's corruption. 
Johnny, Cassie, Sonya, Jaqcui, Bo Rai Cho, and Fujin nurse their injuries, and the zombies arrived to help Liu Kang and captured Shinnok.
Serena returned after helping Raiden, she ran back to Liu Kang, seeing him one last time.
