The Good Place: The Pumpkin Spice Reboot

"Of all the reboot themes — chowder, frozen yogurt, etc. — which was the worst?" Janet asked.

"Pumpkin spice," Michael answered immediately. "From my perspective, it posed the biggest challenge."

"Why?"

"In one sense, it was a great success. That reboot was one of the longest in terms of how long it took them to figure out they were in the Bad Place. But the problem was that it was nearly impossible to torture them. All they had to do was smell or taste something with pumpkin spice. It's like that flavor flipped a switch in their minds to make them happy."
