Jealousy and possessiveness are red warning signs for others, yet they seem so good in the eyes of Freen when that possessiveness comes from Becky. Freen thinks there's a problem with her. It is making her think of something she wants to do with Becky that only the two of them should know.

Billy should be dead by now if looks could kill. Freen is standing close and staring at Becky tenderly, while Becky holds her in a possessive manner, her arms around Freen's waist and poised like a knight ready for combat. Along with Richie, they are at Billy's office at the police station, which brings to mind the important reason they came there in the first place. Freen softly murmured in Becky's ear, "Baby, calm down. I won't go anywhere; no one will take me away from you." Becky looks at Freen and gives her a soft smile. She relaxes a bit.

"It's good to see you again, Becky." Billy offered his hand.

"Thank you, Major. I didn't expect that you're still in touch with Freen," Becky shook Billy's hand, but a sarcastic smile was obviously showing on her face.

"How can someone leave a woman like Freen?" Billy answered. "I find them heartless if you ask me."

"I appreciate your concern, but no one-" Becky can't continue because her mouth was covered by Freen's hand.

"I am glad you two are trying to catch up with each other, but why don't we sit down first and get to business?" Freen interrupts.

"That's a good idea!" Richie burst out. "I believe your air conditioner is not working properly, Major. It feels a bit hot in here."

Billy raised his hand as a sign of backing off. "You never changed, Becky. You're still you."

"What do you mean by that, Major?" Freen asked, but the tone of her voice showed it as a warning.

"Nothing! It's nothing, Freen! I still have an incoming meeting. Let's finish this," Billy tried to change the topic.

Freen suddenly got saddened. She knows those lines by heart. She knows those lines hurt Billy.

..........

A few years back...

..........

"Come on, Freen! I've been trying to take you out for months now. I am not forcing myself on you, but please give yourself a chance to be happy. Becky is gone. She's not coming back!"

"Can you please stop, Billy? It's hurting both of us. I am not ready to let her go! How can I give myself to you or to anyone if I feel a hole in my life?" Freen feels sorry for Billy. She and Billy tried to date before and work things out, but Freen knows it is unfair for Billy, knowing she is unsure of her feelings for Becky.

"Freen, can you tell me who I am to you?" Billy begged.

"Billy, you're a dear friend of mine, but that's all you can be to me," Freen answered sadly.

Billy turns his back and walks away. "So all those times we shared mean nothing to you!" Billy's voice is too low. He thought Freen wouldn't hear it, but she does.

..........

Present

.........

"Hey... Are you okay?" Becky asked Freen worriedly.

"I am. It's fine. There is nothing to worry about!" Freen smiles, but Becky knows and is too familiar with those fake smiles.

"Let's talk about this later." Becky caresses Freen's hand. Freen can only nod. Little did they know someone's heart is shattering in front of them. Billy still feels an enormous love for Freen, but he respects Freen, and whatever makes her happy is always his priority.
