Sometimes life will trap you, and you will have no choice but to accept it, go on, and hope for the best!
"Freaking awesome!"
"Officer Charlotte, I need your help. This is an emergency! Please, I am begging you. You need to help me!" Becky pleaded like a child asking for candy.
"What is it with you? He is here, Rebecca. Be serious!" Charlotte demanded.
"My life will be over if Freen leaves me! My battery died in the middle of her call. I need to call her back! Please!"
"What the f..., Rebecca? You're so whipped! Can you call her after the operation, or would you like to use my phone?" Charlotte and Becky were still inside the car. Charlotte needed Becky to focus before they got out of the car.
"No, no, no, Freen won't like it. She will think we're too close for her liking. When we get out, we will proceed to the counter, and you will show your badge discreetly and will ask them that it is important that the phone be charged. Are we clear, officer?"
"Wow, are you in charge now? Fine, I'll do it! Let's capture this psycho so I will be free from you two, lunatics in love!" Charlotte couldn't help but shake her head, but a smile was visible on her face.
"Thank you so much! You don't know what it means!" Becky was quite nervous. Freen is such a sweet and lovely woman, but when she gets jealous, she can be a lioness. She knows Freen is having a hard time with their current situation, and she can never blame the girl because it's really hard if you are always within four bedroom walls. Becky wants Mike to get arrested so she can finally start her plan.
The two went inside. A woman server approached them. Charlotte scanned the area discreetly with her eyes. She nodded to the server and went straight to the counter. She handed Becky's phone and asked to have it charged. No words were spoken about that; the server just nodded. Becky was just watching the two's interaction. She found something odd, but she didn't think of it that much; what mattered to her was to solve the case as soon as possible. She missed Freen so much, too much that it made her lost in thought, just like now.
"Earth to Becky!" Charlotte held Becky's face in both her hands, delicately. "Come with me to the bathroom!" Becky was still frozen but got into action when she heard the server cough.
"Let's go. Please lead the way!" Becky followed Charlotte.
Charlotte locked the door. She checked every stall to see if it was empty. When she found everything was clear, she approached Becky. Becky took two steps backward. "What are you doing? We can't..."
"Oh, please, Becky! Put your mind out of the gutter! You're beautiful, but you're not my type, no offense."
"No offense taken! I will never cheat on Freen!"
Charlotte rolled her eyes. "I know how whipped you are; there's no need to explain." Charlotte laughed, and Becky didn't argue because she was guilty as charged. Charlotte's phone rang, and she answered it. She listened carefully, then hung up. "Listen to me, Becky, the suspect is outside. He's sitting at the third table from the corner near the window. Someone already occupied the first table, so we will sit at the second table. Just stick to the script, and everything will go according to our plans. Okay?"
"Affirmative! Stick to the plan! I can do this!" Becky hyped herself up.
"Are you ready?" Charlotte asked.
"I was born ready!" Becky flexed her biceps, which earned another eyeroll from Charlotte. They both went outside. They proceeded to the table. The same server approached them. She took their order and left.
