Permafrost's POV:
Ugh, that little RAT!
I screamed as the pain from Arthur's injury transferred over to my body, forcing me to lose control of the royal host I had taken over.
Beluga, my fellow sorcerer, stood beside me, trying to catch me as I lost my balance.
"Frosty!" He yelped, missing me and letting me fall onto the hard tiles of the infirmary floor. "What happened, did you win?"
"No, you idiot!" I barked, clutching my throat. "That stupid orca speared me- I mean, Arthur in the throat and knocked me out!"
My short companion rolled his eyes, keeping his hood over his head. "Whatever, it's not like they'll be alive for long."
"HALT!" I was startled to see Sir Nyx at the door, wielding his arming sword at me. "You are both under arrest for possession of the king and injuring his apprentice. Surrender at once!"
"Police wannabe," I groaned, standing up. "Watch it, Nyx, or I'm gonna-"
"Cast a spell over me and possess your body?" He mocked, approaching me. "Oh, please. You're so predictable nowadays. Don't be shy, try to cast a spell on me. You don't have the... Equipment for it."
I accepted his challenge, casting a jet of pure dark magic toward him, aiming for his chest.
It ricocheted back toward me like a boomerang, striking me in the belly.
"What sorcery is this?!" I shrieked, clutching my stomach in pain.
"Your own." Sir Nyx snarled, tapping the tip of his blade against my chin and lifting it up to look me in the eyes. "Surrender now and-"
"EVERYONE MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!" I recognized Blanco's heavy footfalls pounding through the carpeted hallways. "Clear the infirmary, the king and his apprentice are in critical condition! Everyone, MOVE!"
The knight growled at me, seizing me by the shoulder and whispering harshly into my ear. "This isn't over yet."
He shoved me into the hallway, picking up Beluga and doing the same.
I watched as Blanco charged into the infirmary, holding an unconscious Tia in his hefty arms.
Sir Snowstorm and Sir Blizzard were not far behind; The brothers were carrying the injured king.
I was surprised his body held up for so long; I thought Tia would have mauled him without a second thought.
Whitecap, a sorcerer and a knight, came running up behind them.
He gave me a salty look before disappearing into the infirmary, his white cloak trailing behind him.
Stupid Whitecap... Always on his knees before the king and willing to follow orders.
He completely forgot our mission to take over Northwynd for Spiritvale.
"You know what they say?" I heard a husky voice chuckle from behind me.
Before I could reply, a firm hand clamped across my mouth, silencing me.
"It's a rule about bears." The person, which I assumed as a he, whispered in my ear. "Do you know what that is?"
Apparently, Beluga heard him too. "If it's black, uhh, attack. If it's brown, get down, and-"
"If it's white, say goodnight." The voice chuckled, laying a hand on my head. "And y'know what bears are white?"
Suddenly, I was face-to-face with what seemed to be a massive polar bear.
"Polar bears." He smiled, his furry paw removing itself from my face. "And guess who you're staring at, Permafrost."
I squinted at him, eyeing the bear up and down. "Are you real, or-"
"Answer the question." The bear replied huskily. "Guess who, sweetheart."
No, it can't be... I just killed him!
"You're supposed to be dead!" I cried, staring up at him in disbelief. "You can't be alive!"
"Oh, I am very much alive." King Arthur sneered, towering over me on his hind paws. "And if it's white..."
I gave him a defeated sigh, sinking to my knees. "Say goodnight."
His form was ghostly and spirit-like, yet I felt his paw resting on my head.
"You tried, Permafrost." He chuckled, grazing a claw across the back of my neck. "You really did, and to be honest, I was impressed."
I looked up at him, giving him a half-hearted laugh. "Yeah... Will Beluga be with me, at least?
"No," He smiled at me.
"He'll be looking down at you, sweetheart."
