Sophii's POV:
The next few days were pretty chill.
For some reason, all of the seven knights of the Northwynd royal guard were feeling really cuddly lately.
Towards me, of course.
What? No one can resist a fluffy, comfortable pelt like mine.
Almost everyone's in this small meeting room, holding cups of coffee as Sir Nyx is lecturing about battle strategies for taking over the other kingdoms.
He's holding me with his left arm, pointing at a map of Lunarift with the other.
King Arthur and his son are sitting in the back, listening intently (or at least trying to, I can tell His Majesty is drawing in his sketchbook under the table).
Sir Blanco, to my surprise, was taking notes with a very tiny notepad and an even smaller pencil.
Either he's just absolutely massive or that his materials were too small, but I think it's both.
Sir Blizzard was sitting right next to Edward, possibly even too close.
I can smell the feelings radiating off of him from here.
It's almost... Possessive.
In an attempt to take my mind off of whatever creepy energy that knight was giving off, I turned to face Sir Glacier and the rest of the knights.
They were all actually listening, keeping their attention on whatever words were coming out of Sir Nyx's mouth.
The ivory knight didn't even seem to notice that I was looking around.
Before I was caught not paying attention, I snapped my focus back onto him, lazily flicking my sleek tail to the side.
"From here, we'll take on Steamrise's next tectonic plate shift, target Celesterra's hidden sky barrier, and get into Whisperwood's turf if we get to this vantage point." He explained, half of his words turning into mush by the time they reached my brain.
Tectonic? Barrier? Vantage?
"Are you speaking English?" I meowed, just audible enough for him to hear me.
Luckily no one else knew that I spoke. "Yes, kitty. Be a good listener."
He gently ruffled the fur on my forehead before continuing his explanation.
Only a few seconds passed by before there was a knock on the old wooden door, making him pause in his tracks.
"Blanco, could you please open that?" Sir Nyx asked politely, not looking away from the map.
The hefty knight gave him a nod, letting out a grunt as he pushed himself off from the comically small chair he was sitting on and approached the door.
He pushed the door handle down with one finger, lightly nudging it open.
I was shocked to see Addison and Don standing there in the doorway.
"You!" I gasped, watching them calmly approach Sir Nyx and me. "I thought you were dead!"
"Of course I'm not, Sophii." The librarian smiled from under her violet hood. "It's good to be back."
"Halt." Sir Subzero, who was standing silently beside Blanco, drew his arming sword. "Take one step further and we'll have to arrest you."
"Lay one finger on my lover and I'll sever your puny limbs." Don snarled at him, flapping out his raven wings. "Don't even try."
Edward's jaw dropped on the floor. "Addison's your lover?!"
