Sir Blizzard's POV:

"Good, good, they're all in shambles. They won't know we're in Spiritvale territory..."

I listened intently to Sir Blackthorne's words as we settled down by a rocky cliff, overlooking the tumultuous ocean waves beneath us.

After the risky stunt I pulled off by managing to get a hold of a new alliance with none other than my former mentor, we decided to rescue the only other two prisoners in the Silverstorm Stronghold dungeons: Prince Don and his lover, Addison Reece.

The two of them were head-over-heels for each other, I could tell from just a glance.

That alone made them weak.

However, I knew that they were both powerful in their own ways, especially with their use of Darkness.

Sir Blackthorne negotiated with them and got Addison on our side first.

He proposed that in exchange for her abilities and her trust, we'd bring her to freedom and sprinkle in a little bit of power there.

She was entirely interested in revenge though, and soon enough, we got her.

Don followed soon after, simply because he wanted to be with his partner again.

Lovebirds...

"We could go into the mountain," Don offered, sitting down on a smooth boulder. "You know you're in my territory; I can welcome you all as guests."

"Are you sure?" I asked him, pacing on the rocky ground beneath me. "Won't we get attacked for being... I dunno, an opposing kingdom?"

He scoffed and waved a hand at me, dismissing the thought. "Nonsense. I'll say you're my kind acquaintances and you'll be treated like loyalty. After all, we are allies, are we not?"

I smirked at his proposition. "Good idea."

"You're such a handsome genius," Addison chuckled, leaning over to gently brush a strand of Don's dark hair away from his face.

A subtle rosy shade of pink spread across his cheeks at her words. "You're incredibly sweet. I should have you for dessert later."

"That statement can imply two things," Blackthorne grimaced, his face also going slightly red. "However, I wouldn't mind the thought..."

Before either of us could speak further and dive too deep into our conversation, a bright flash of lightning crackled overhead, warning us of an oncoming storm.

We all gave each other a side glance, knowing what to do.

"Follow me," Don ordered, lifting his wing and shielding it around his partner. "Down the cliff. Hurry up before the rocks get slippery. Don't want you to fall, Addi..."

The Raven Prince took the lead, guiding us down a barely noticeable pebble pathway before leading us to what seemed to be the base of the cliff.

Looking up, I realized that this was no cliff; what we were on was a mountain that slowly dipped into a valley.

Several other cliff-like rocks protruded out of the ground, curving into rocky claws that seemed to take away at the sky.

"Beautiful place, isn't it?" Don smiled, flapping his shadowy wing to keep the drizzle out of his face before whispering to his lover, "Though it's not as pretty as you, darling."

Addison quietly giggled from the safety of his feathers as he brought us to a shady cave, guarded by a thick mass of vines.

"Do your thing, Blackthorne." He smiled, gesturing to my former mentor.
