Sir Nyx's POV:
Something is wrong.
No.
Something is seriously wrong.
If I were to say something like that in front of Sir Blizzard, he'd think I was delusional.
Then again, I'm the leader of the Northwynd royal guard, no one questions my authority much.
...Other than him, of course.
He only goes against my rules when Prince Edward isn't around for the sake of his "reputation".
The poor guy is too oblivious to see that I won over His Majesty's favor in the first place.
I'm leaning against the door to the royal guard barracks, watching my teammates spar.
Sir Subzero and Sir Glacier were training out in the courtyard, practicing with whatever swords they could retrieve from Tia's planning quarters (with her full permission, of course).
A confused, yet pleasantly surprised Sir Snowstorm stood by the sidelines, stretching out his arms while he observed their match.
Just a few feet away from him, Sir Blanco was being pummeled into the ground by teeny tiny Miss Aquaticlaw, as expected.
"Yeh've got summat ter tell me?" He grunted, struggling to push her off of him.
"I'm not telling you ANYTHING until you forfeit!" The captain snapped, promptly slapping him in the leg with her powerful tail flukes.
The hefty knight sharply hissed through his teeth, pressing his large hands against her shoulders. "Yer' insane if yeh think I'M forfetin'."
She let out a guttural growl, practically leaping on top of him and rolling his chest into the ground. "Why are you making this so hard for yourself?"
The rest of their lovely conversation muddled into a choppy mess as Tia wrestled him into the snow-covered dirt, continuously shifting her position to prevent him from escaping her grasp.
"Doesn't it look like he isn't trying to fight back?"
Sir Snowstorm snorted, calmly approaching me.I nodded, watching intently as he exchanged a weak blow with her. "It's almost as if he forgot what he learned in training."
Suddenly, his small sparring partner lost her footing, tumbling onto the floor and losing the high ground in a split second.
The hefty knight rolled to the side, seizing her by the tail and yanking her into the air above him.
"I got the upper han', lil' missy," Sir Blanco smirked, avoiding a rough swipe that could have hit his face if it weren't for the two inches of space he had between her. "Surrendeh'?"
"Technically, I have the high ground!" She squeaked, wriggling in his tight grip. "You always pull this move, you bully. Taking advantage of my size..."
"Yeh gotta expect ter be taken by surprise," He chuckled, narrowly avoiding her jaws as she snapped at him. "Listen when I'm talkin' ter yeh instead o' bitin' me, Nibbles."
"Nibbles," Sir Snowstorm echoed, a faint smile played on his hidden lips. "They're not even lovers and he already has several pet nicknames for her. How cute."
I smirked, watching them tumble in the snow.
It was funny to see those two together, sparring or not.
Seems like big, sweet Sir Blanco's getting along with the tiny beast.
Then, as my mind just began to drift away from where I had mentally anchored myself, I felt it.
