Addison's POV:
We were forced to evacuate the floating island.
Blackthorne and his ivy abomination had completely taken over the Horizon Library, covering the place in thick, impenetrable vines.
Thanks to Sophii letting him inside in the first place, we just lost our headquarters.
"This is outrageous!" Edward cried, staring up at the island. "How are we going to survive now?"
"Shut up, I'm trying to think." I snapped, walking over to Marshall.
The blacksmith had watched as the ebony knight was pulled back up into the sky by one of his creation's tendrils, being saved from plummeting to his untimely death.
Lucky him.
"We know that one of its weaknesses is ice." Marshall mumbled, putting a hand on his chin. "Specifically Tia's frostbreath. It's surprisingly effective against the plant."
The captain approached us, a thin stream liquid ice steadily trickling down the corner of her mouth. "Mhm. However, I'll need to get reinforcements... The only problem is that I don't think anyone else has my ability."
"That's because you're a mutation." The blacksmith reasoned. "I mean- Not in a rude way, but you're like a backwards phoenix."
I laughed at his statement. "Backwards phoenix? Seriously?"
"Marshall has a point." Tia mumbled, wiping her mouth against her coat sleeve. "He flies, I swim. He breathes fire, I breathe frost. He's hot, I'm cold. Wait, ignore that last part."
"You aren't wrong." I nodded, agreeing with her statements. "That last part is true, literally. But anyways, what now?"
"We need to take back what is rightfully ours." Edward came up to us, adjusting his golden crown. "Even though he's my half brother, I'm not going to tolerate him just moving in with his tainted magic... You know Queen Cordelia was born and raised in Spiritvale."
I gave him a startled look. "She was from THERE?! I mean, it was blatantly obvious from what I heard from Marshall, but still!"
"Focus," The phoenix snapped, staring at the two of us. "We need to fight for the island. It's a 5v2, he's heavily outnumbered. Tia can go for the stupid ivy creature and the rest of us go for Blackthorne. Sound like a plan?"
"One problem," Tia began, flicking her whale tail. "My frostbreath can't cover a lot of space, and even though it's super effective, it won't damage the ivy enough to kill the thing completely. For all we know, this thing could be miles long..."
"Then we'll call in reinforcements." Edward smirked, a glint in his eye. "I know a couple frostbreathers from Northwynd..."
"Who?" I asked. "And if so, I need their full name in order to let them through the island's forcefield... Never letting Sophii in charge of that again."
"Let's just say that Tia over here has seen them." The prince smiled, giving her a snarky grin.
"Does Sir Nyx ring a bell?"

Stars shone brightly overhead as we sailed over to Northwynd, taking Tia's ship for another ride.
It was surprisingly warm out on the ocean today, since we were only getting closer to our destination.
Marshall and I were sitting below the deck, reading a book on the couch together in Tia's living quarters.
