Addison's POV:

Locked away in the deep dungeons of the Silverstorm Stronghold was not how I expected to spend the rest of my life.

The cell I was thrown into was absurdly cold, leaving me with a tattered bed and an empty bookshelf.

An empty, knowledge-deprived room.

Even worse, my Raven Prince wasn't here...

It should have just been Don and me exploring Lunarift, taking what we deserved and executing vengeance on those who wronged us.

King Arthur, for being a creep.

Blackthorne (who I knew was alive somewhere, I could just feel it), since he tried to claim the one place I called home as his turf.

Edward, who wouldn't lift a finger to stop them both even after the spell that changed his life.

Tia, for despising Don even though he was once her teammate.

Marshall, for betraying me and abandoning me for Tia (who hopefully hates him).

I can't have anything against Sophii, though.

She's the sweetest shadowshifter I know.

Then, I heard something clang against the frosted, magic-reinforced bars of my frozen cell.

"Get up." Sir Whitecap's voice snarled, tapping the tip of his arming sword against the cold steel. "His Majesty and his apprentice wish to see you."

I scoffed, rising from where I sat on the floor and glaring him down through his white armor. "What are you gonna do about it if I don't listen?"

"Then your stupid lover dies," I recognized Tia's husky growl from somewhere just beyond my field of vision. "Wanna bet on that?"

That disgusting freak of a king added his own witty remark. "Twenty sand dollars you'll give him a slow, painful death."

The captain strode over, halting in front of my cell without breaking eye contact with him. "You're cheap."

"Thirty and you got a deal," They said in unison, exchanging grins before giving each other a quick fist bump.

"King Arthur, Your Majesty," Sir Whitecap bowed, greeting the royal leader. "I believe this is the prisoner you've been wanting to see?"

He stepped into view, his imposing, royal figure intimidating me with his sheer size alone. "Yes, Whitecap. You may rest now, please tell Blanco it's his turn to keep watch over these guys."

Tia's eyes widened in the dimly lit dungeon hallway. "Blanco?"

King Arthur chuckled, reassuringly patting her on the back. "Yes, Blanco. Your wonderful husband-to-be."

Her face went a slight shade of rose as she pulled the hood of her captain's coat further down on her head. "Shut up, romance is weird."

"Uh oh, looks like someone's flustered." He teased, gently poking her on the cheek. "Can't stop thinking about your beloved knight in shining armor?"

"Very cliche statement, Your Highness." I frowned, gritting my teeth at his royal title. "How come she can have her partner when I-"

"One, he's not my lover." His apprentice snarled, violently slamming her orca tail against the frozen ground. "Two, your partner tried to hurt the king and steal his crown... It was enchanted with a curse to only fit on the heads of royalty, but then again, you both got caught either way like the morons you are."

I flinched at the sheer force of the impact, but I put up my poker face and brushed it off. "Heh. You can't be talking, Tia. We all know very well that you're incapable of being just as intelligent as I am."
