Tia's POV:

One forceful, hefty swing after another, I continued to take down what remained of one of Spiritvale's ships.

Northwynd was still in shambles after the attack, especially the boardwalk.

Debris was scattered all throughout the town, with some seaside houses still smoking from the fires set down a few hours ago.

Luckily, while I was fighting Blackthorne's phantom with Arthur, one of the royal guard members had managed to get a hold of a ship and fend off the coastline with cannons.

I asked everyone, but apparently, the person wanted to remain anonymous.

If only I knew who it was, I'd be asking them how they managed to pull off such a feat in the first place.

One of Spiritvale's ghostly ships was shot down by the cannon fire, leaving everything from the mainmast up above the surface.

I was taking out some pent-up anger on the ship, kicking in some burned-down planks.

How dare they set fire to this sacred kingdom...

With my tail loosely curled into an arc around the bowsprit of the boat, I kicked a foot-shaped hole into the deck, sending wood chips flying into the air.

"Woah, woah!" I recognized Blanco yelp from somewhere below me. "What're ye' doin' to yer' ship, lil' missy? Y'know these boats cost a fortune to those who can afford one."

As frustrated as I was in the moment, I couldn't take it out on him, out of all people.

Precious, battle-scarred Blanco didn't deserve to feel my unforgiving, rage-fueled wrath.

It'd be lying if I said I didn't love him for who he was.

Platonically, of course, because romantic love is weird.

"It's not my ship," I huffed, climbing back up to the almost completely vertical-angled bowsprit mast. "Some stupid Spiritvale idiots attacked us with this. It should be deemed useless."

"We could claim it as Northwynd property, though." The hefty knight argued, planting a foot on the mainmast below me to balance himself. "Maybe we could reinforce some parts n' make it ours, eh? Shouldn't be too difficult for a strong lil' lady like ye'."

"What if they put a curse on it, though?" I pondered out loud, uncoiling my tail from around the wooden pole and sliding down the diagonal deck to meet him. "Like, whoever were to repossess this boat would be condemned to Pyronica's largest active volcano for... I dunno, eternity?"

"Now yer' bein' irrational." Blanco huffed, promptly snagging me by one of my tail flukes and swinging me into his arms. "Sleep-deprived, much?"

"I'm not sleep-deprived." I grumbled, crossing my arms and tucking in my legs. "I'm just cautious."

"More like paranoid." He sighed, poking me in the cheek. "Also, yer' chompers are lookin' mighty bright n' pearly white. Plannin' on bitin someone?"

I played along with his act, giving him a toothy grin. "Ha, definitely. Not you because I know for some reason, you like being bit."

"Nah, I don't wanna be bit by a sharkie like ye'." Blanco chuckled, ruffling my hair. "Ye' got some serious force packed in those jaws... I wouldn't wanna mess with that, not a' all."

I nipped at him, barely grazing my nose against the tip of his helmet. "Okay, maybe I'll bite you just once..."

He lifted his metal visor, gazing down at me with his milky chocolate gaze.
