chapter 3; " the stationery shop "

"Hello? Dad are there eggs at home? Or should I bring some?" Y/n spoke softly while being on a call with her father.

"We have two left, your sister was hungry so I scrambled egg for her" He replied, Y/n sighed in relief. "It's good that she ate, she has been refusing to eat ever since that incident" Y/n sighed. "Sweetie, just hurry home before it gets dark, I don't want you to be out at night" Her father spoke. Y/n hummed and hung up while making her way to the grocery store. She worked at a coffee shop but they had a schedule so she didn't have to work today. She decided to pop by the grocery store to fill up the fridge at their house.

She walked in and grabbed a pack of eggs, making her way to the sweets aisle so she could grab a few for her sister.

"So you're planning on toying with her?" Jisung asked with crossed arms.

"mhm, she looks fragile so I should just shatter her, she humiliated me infront of an audience and I still can't forgive her" Hyunjin spoke before taking out a pack of cigarettes out of his pockets. "Want?" He handed one to Jisung. "No thanks, my mom doesn't like it when I smoke" Jisung declined it. "Too bad" he said before lighting it up. The two boys were standing infront of an all night market that works 24/7. It's where they hung out the most, Jisung didn't go to the same university as Hyunjin but they have been close friends ever since high-school. "So, what's your strategy?" Jisung asked while tilting his head. "Strategy? Dunno, maybe making her fall inlove with me and then rejecting her when she confesses" Hyunjin smirked, imagining the scenario in his head. "What kind of girl is she?" Jisung questioned again. "A beautiful on- huh?" Before he could finish his sentence he stopped himself from going any further about how she looked like. "Oooh?? Is this the Hyunjin I know? You found a girl pretty?" Jisung teased him. "No, I just got mesmerized by the sky's beauty" Hyunjin made up an excuse. "Ohh really??" Jisung laughed. Hyunjin scoffed before throwing away his cigarette near the entrance of the market, right before the door opened to reveal a familiar figure carrying groceries. Her hair let down as she tried to get a better grip on the groceries since they were heavy. But then she saw the cigarette on the floor and got furious. "Fucking high schoolers thinking they're cool for smoking out here" She sighed before kicking it out of her way. She turned around to walk back to her house. "Hey doll" Hwang called her. Her face turned to the side of the market where Hyunjin and Jisung were staring at her.

"The fuck.." Y/n stared him down before going her way again.

"You need help with that?" Hwang walked up to her from behind, he grabbed the bag to help her but
Y/n smacked him in the face. "Mind your own buisness. I'm not weak" she said before pushing him back. All she could hear was Hyunjin laughing which angered her, but she decided to ignore it and go her way.

"I guess she's not easy" Hyunjin smirked before walking back Jisung. "She has a cute face, totally my type, although her personality seems shit" Jisung sighed. "Hm, I can probably fix her attitude" Hyunjin spoke while crossing his arms.

"Do whatever you want, I'm not betting on it again, whenever we bet I end up breaking an innocent girl's heart" Jisung slowly took backwards.

"I thought you liked the bets" Hyunjin asked, confused.

"I used to, because I earned money but I'm tired of seeing girls cry" Jisung clicked his tongue. "I had a crush on one of the girls we bet on, but she found out about it and blocked me in every single platform" Jisung sulked. "Serves you right, I'd do the same" Hyunjin laughed. "You were the one that suggested it you asshol-" Jisung rolled his eyes. "Whatever, let's go clubbing" Hyunjin cut him off. "No can't do, I promised to help my mom with the dinner" Jisung declined. "You damned mama's boy" Hyunjin joked. "Shoo, I'm going" Jisung turned his back and left while Hyunjin was now left alone, he didn't want to go home because it was too early for him to go home.
