chapter 36; " morning bickers "

"Hello?" Hyunjin picked Y/n's phone up since he didn't want her sister to listen to her drunk state.

"Sis- wait who is this?" Da-hye responded, laughter added from her friends in the background.

"Your sister is uhm, changing." Hyunjin quickly found an excuse for her. "At your house?" Da-hye asked, her tone laced with confusion. Hyunjin was at loss for words, he fell into silence, his mind all curled up with lines. "She spilled juice on her shirt so I lent her one" Hyunjin responded back casually. A hum followed along from Da-hye. "Okay, I was just seeing what she was upto" Da-hye hummed and hung up. Y/n laid on the couch all asleep. Hyunjin chuckled at the sight before walking over and carrying her gently in bridal style before carrying her to the his room. Hyunjin tucked Y/n underneath the silver blankets, a small mutter came out of Y/n's lips as she got cozy in the bed, causing Hyunjin to smile as he couldn't back.

Hyunjin laid down next to her, wrapping his arms around her stomach and pulling her in as their bodies were squished together, Hyunjin fell asleep with the the scent of Y/n trailing into him, creating a memorial scent as he fell asleep, eyes shutting at the sight of his lover.

"Is she alright?" Miyeon asked Sakura, her tone worried for Wonyoung as she hadn't came out of her room when Hyunjin took Y/n away with him. "Don't know, I don't know how to act about it either. Should I be mad at Y/n and ignore her for upsetting Wonyoung or should I just- gosh I don't know. It's complicating" Sakura sighed, her mind racing with what she could do to comfort. "Why would you ignore Y/n in the first place?" Chaewon asked, the room falling into silence. "Cause she upset Wonyoung?" Sakura shrugged, her tone laced with annoyance. "It's not her fault that Hyunjin chose her." Chaewon defended her. Despite acting like she hated Y/n, she knew Sakura was wrong for saying that. "Are you defending Y/n right now over your friend of 2 years?" Sakura scoffed. Miyeon was trying her best to butt in but the tension between the two girls grew intense as they glared at eachother.

"Maybe I am, I don't hate Wonyoung but you're making me look like I hate her" Chaewon responded back, at thus point they were just biting their skin off with a filter.

"Girls-" Miyeon tried to separate them.

"You're defending someone that stole her man" Sakura cut Miyeon off, her words biting Chaewon's cheek off.

"Since when was Hyunjin her man?" Chaewon scoffed.

"Enough!" The room fell into silence once more as the familiar sore tone was yelled. The three girls turned their head to see Wonyoung standing there, tears in her eyes. "I never said I hated Y/n, why are you bringing her down like that?" Wonyoung scolded Sakura, tears streaming down her face. Yes she loved but she also loved seeing Y/n happy despite being friends with her only for a month or two.

"Why did you lash out on me like that then?" Sakura asked. "I wasn't in my right mind, okay? Has any of you seen Y/n smile like that before?" Wonyoung asked, the temperature of the room dropping as there were shudders sent down the girl's spine. The girls got to thinking, the words of Wonyoung echoing in their heads as they tried to think of a moment where Y/n had smiled. After not being able to find a single one, they looked back at Wonyoung and shook their heads. "Exactly. Let them ve happy. I don't care if I loved him, as long as he's happy" Wonyoung sighed as she walked into the circle the girls were sitting at, taking a seat next to them. Chaewon was still pissed off by what Sakura had said. "Forget everything I said" Sakura muttered to Chaewon, earning a cold shoulder from her as Chaewon ignored Sakura.

"So..we have to submit the project tomorrow..I'll go get it ready" Miyeon trailed off awkwardly, not wanting to sit in the dimmed down atmosphere of the girls.
