chapter 49; " surprise meeting '

"Y/n meet my mom" Hyunjin smiled as he gestured towards his mother.

Y/n finally came to the realization, her mouth falling agape as she quickly shut it back up. "Oh my-- Mrs.Hwang it's so good to be meeting you, I swear I had no idea and I would've brought something if I knew I'd be coming here but your son right here didn't inform me about any--" Y/n started rambling as she felt bad for meeting her boyfriend's parents like this.

"stop, honey, can't you see my house? I'm in no need for a gift but if you do feel like gifting me a small acrylic statue go ahead cause I collect them like there's no tomorrow! Now come in you two" Mrs.Hwang cut her off as she welcomed them inside. She looked awfully young despite having a grown up son.

"I hate you" Y/n slapped the shoulder of Hyunjin and all he could do was chuckle as they walked through the long hallway with high ceilings tugged with even longer chandeliers with each move you turn to.

"Cheol has been whining about seeing you for the past weeks, you should come over with your girlfriend often" Mrs.Hwang spoke as they walked to the dining room, a long table placed in the middle of the room, a dazzling chandelier hanging down the ceiling with three carat diamonds planted at the sides of it.

"Should we?" Hyunjin smirked as he smiled and turned his head to Y/n, she couldn't help but smile back since she didn't hate the idea.

"What's your name pretty?" Mrs.Hwang asked with a laugh, causing Y/n to smile brightly at the nickname.

"Nam Y/n Mrs.Hwang" she responded as Y/n stopped in her steps, admiring the kitchen interior. 'Could I design this..?' She thought to herself remembering that she studied in the architecture program. "Oh please sweetie, call me mom because there's no way I'd deny a sweet girl like you" Mrs.Hwang had a sweet honey tone with each sentence she spoke.

"Of course" Y/n smiled, st this point she was creating her own smile lines despite not having them for years. Her eyes then landed on the two people around the table, one younger boy that looked like he was seven and another man that was assumed to be Hyunjin's father, Mr.Hwang

"Ohh, I was wondering who the beautiful girl was!" The man rose up from his seat, walking up to Y/n as she brought her hand up to shake his hand.

"Pleased to meet you Mr Hwang, I promise I'd bring you a gift but your son didn't really tell me about this--"

"Oh screw the gift, I was surprised to know Hyunjin had finally found a girl" He cut her off just like how Mrs Hwang had cut her off. Hyunjin gave an awkward smile at the comment.

"Still, if there's anything you need just ask me and it'll be delivered in a few minutes" Y/n added as Hyunjin's father added those rich men laughs. "I'll note that down then" he smiled and then all of the sudden, there stood the shorter boy, he was wearing a dark blue shirt with black shorts, standing further away as he analyzed the girl's face. Feeling familiar with that exact same face.

"You!" The boy shouted as he pointed at Y/n.

"Me?" Y/n pointed at herself with a small smile. "That's the girl that helped me when I fell off my bike!" He was still in shock, his jaw dropped agape, stall bouncy movement as he rushed towards Y/n, abruptly stopping in his tracks as he took another closer glance at Y/n to confirm it. "Oh, you're that bike boy Hm?" Y/n raised an eyebrow at the little boy. "That's my youngest son, Cheol" Mrs Hwang patted the head of the younger Boy, ruffling it as Cheol backed away at the gesture in embarrassment.

"Ohh, this was the girl whom you said would suit me?" Hyunjin laughed.
