chapter 16; " Listener "

Y/n walked into her room just to find Da-hye passed out on her bed, wrapped in the blanket while hugging her nine years of plushie gifted from Y/n when she was younger.

Y/n flinched at the site before realizing it was Da-hye. She tip toed around Da-hye and made her way to the bathroom to get ready. She had already made breakfast and had to get ready to go to university. She had work after uni so she'd be coming late.

Right when she took a step, the blankets rustled and Da-hye quickly sat up, terrors in her eyes.

"Sis?? Where were you?" Her eyes widened, staring up at her sister as Y/n stared back at her in shock because of how startled she was.

'Wasn't she mad at me?' Y/n wondered to herself. Thinking of an excuse to dismiss herself from the question.

"I..slept over at a friend's house" Y/n answered her, avoiding eye contact as she scanned through her room.

"I'm sorry for yesterday, I figured you didn't want to talk about it but I really wanted to know." Da-hye apologized, it was like she was rapping a verse.

"Woah, slow down you just woke up" Y/n calmed her down. At this point, tears were streaming down from Da-hye's cheeks.

"I'm sorry.." she sniffed, her eyes teary.

Y/n saw the sudden tear and took steps towards her before pulling her into a tight hug. "Don't cry, it happens. You didn't know and I'm not mad about it either." Y/n calmed her down.

Da-hye started sobbing even more as she heard those sentences, the way she acted towards her sister got to her as she saw herself as a rude sister.

"It's okay, I'm not mad at you, it was my first time seeing you that angry and I got happy that I could experience that side of my little sister" Y/n calmed her down in the midst of patting her back gently. Da-hye wiped her tears away before pulling away from the embrace of Y/n and looking up st her with her reddened eyes.

"I'll bring you something delicious today alright? Don't tire yourself out and get a good rest" Y/n kissed her on the temple and left to get ready.

Y/n got out of the house and made her way to Uni, her steps gentle but her eyes screamed terror for no reason at all. She decided to enter the market near the university to buy herself a drink. As she entered she saw a bunch of girls her same age giggling infront of the fridge.

Y/n rolled her eyes and made her way to the fridge, where the girls were standing infront of.

'Oh, I saw these girls..they have the same classes as me' Y/n thought to herself as she stood infront of the fridge waiting for the girls to move so she could grab her drink.

"Chaewon move, you're blocking the fridge" one of the girls finally noticed her and dragged the other girl by her arms to the side.

Y/n didn't say anything and took her drink out of the fridge before bringing it to the checkout. She took out her card and paid for it as she took her drink, right when she was leaving the girl from earlier suddenly bumped into her. Her drink clashing with
Y/n's drink as it dropped to the ground and fizzled, making a mess on the floor.

"oh-" the girl stood silence while her friends were looking at the scene in shock.

Y/n closed her eyes whilst trying to calm herself down.

"We're so sorry" the girl's friends came up from her back and apologized. Meanwhile the girl that caused it didn't say anything and just stared at the mess.
