chapter 4; " small day before big "

2024, Septmeber 27, 7:19 pm

Y/n entered the shop and got herself the materials she needed for the project and turned out just to see Hyunjin outside of the shop, she didn't notice that he had followed her and she got furious as his face reminded her of her past.

"What an asshole." She spoke under her breath. She bought the materials and left the shop just to be greeted with Hyunjin's smile which annoyed her to the last bit.

"Will you leave? I thought I made myself clear earlier" Y/n tilted her head.

"I came here to buy pens, what's your problem?" Hyunjin tiltled his head back at her.
"Fucking-. Do whatever you want but don't follow me into my house, I'm just going to ignore you if you follow me" Y/n rolled her eyes before shutting the door behind her and going her way.

"Who'd want to follow an ugly ducking" Hyunjin blurted out before going in to the shop. Y/n heard it but decided to ignore it.

The sky was gloomy, the weather was dimmed, the lights around the markets were still on which made Y/n feel safer. She didn't show her fears but she was extremely scared of the dark. She could never fall asleep with all of the lights out, she always used a small lamp next to her bed. She had finally entered her neighborhood, it was quiet, everyone was home and the trees had fallen asleep.

Y/n cleared her throat before arriving at her house and quickly walking in with her heart beating nonstop. She sighed in relief after finally getting in her house. She locked the door and went to the living room to hurriedly finish her project. "This damned project, I wish I never chose this program" Y/n sighed under her breath before setting the materials on the table and sitting down to study. She started with drawing the layout of the house and finished at 1:09 AM. "Finally.." she sighed and went up to her room, she plopped on the bed and fell asleep as soon as her body felt the touch of the cozy blanket.

September 28, 6:00 AM.

The alarm rung in Y/n's ears. Knowing she had to wake up early so that she could make breakfast for her father and sister. She threw the alarm down and got up, hair all messy and her clothes uncomfortable.

She went in to the bathroom to take a quick shower to make her come to real life. She stripped down from her uncomfortable clothes and turned on the water. She got in the shower and let the burning hot water hit her bare skin which later made her skin turn red. After finishing she got out and wrapped her bathrobe around her. Y/n dried her hair with a hairdryer and got dressed. By the time it was done it was already 6:52 AM. She went downstairs and made breakfast for her father and sister. She woke her family up and called them down.

"Breakfast-!" She yelled before Da-hye came down running with a smile on her face. "Ooh, what's with the good energy"
Y/n asked all smiley. "There's three days left until my birthday! I'm thinking about where I should make it!!" Da-hye smiled and sat down. "Oh really? We could do It here, or wherever you want actually, you should choose since it's your birthday" Y/n suggested.

"Can I throw a small party, but I really want to be alone with my friends" Da-hye asked in excitement. "Alright, we can do it here, just think about it again before you give me an actual answer" Y/n replied as Da-hye giggled and nodded. Seeing her happy made Y/n really happy. She'd do anything to see her sister happy.

After a while her father came down and they had breakfast together before her father left for work early. They saw him off before going back to the kitchen. "Unnie, you said you'd do my makeup today"
Da-hye begged her to do her makeup while doing her eyes puppy-like. "Oh right! Let's head to my room for that" Y/n quickly led Da-hye upstairs. Y/n pulled out the chair for Da-hye and made her sit down. Y/n applied sunscreen to her face to keep it natural, then she carefully curled Da-hye's eyelashes while applying lip balm on her lips. She put a nude eyeshadow on her eyelids so that it'd look natural and drew a small line with a light beige eyeliner.

"There, not much difference but you look like you've been getting beauty sleeps!"
Y/n smiled at Da-hye. Her sister smiled and hugged her.

"Now get up, you're going to be late, I'll have to come late today because of my work so heat up some pasta" Y/n patted her sister's head and saw her off to school.

"Okayy.. I should get my paycheck today, and then I'll go to the mall to get her the present she wanted" Y/n made plans for the day and got her stuff ready to go to the uni.

She stepped out the house and turned the key to the left twice. She placed the keys in her bag and took steps towards the way where her university was.

Y/n came inside the classroom and took her seat. While she was sitting a boy with long silver-ish combined with blonde hair came to sit next to her, apparently he had something to say to her.

"Hyunjin is calling you, Nam Y/n right?" His eyes sparkled. Making Y/n confused about how he knows her name.

"None of your buisness, and tell him I'm not coming out, you-" before she could continue with her sentence she was cut off. "Lee Felix, They call me yongbok" Felix smiled at Y/n. "I didn't ask for your name. Tell you little friend that I'm not coming out" she sarcastically shut him off.

"Awh, he was so excited to see you though" Felix sulked as he placed both of his arms on the desks. "Architecture seems boring, why'd you even choose this program?" Felix asked out of curiosity.
"If I tell you will you leave?" Y/n spoke, dead in his eyes. "Nope, not unless you come out" Felix smiled. "Ah fuck, there's no point in talking to you boys, get out of my sight" Y/n turned her back to him. Felix sulked as he left the classroom.

'When the fuck did people start bothering me, I thought I was going to become invisible' Y/n slammed her head into the table. With her head being on the table, her eyes started getting heavier, she fell asleep before she knew.

Hyunjin came in to the class, there was 15 minutes left before the lessons start so she wanted to check up on Y/n, he wanted to apologize for yesterday but saw her sleeping, she was frozen. She wasn't even making a sound because of how well she was sleeping. Hyunjin laughed and took out his phone before taking a few pictures of this and left again.

....

"Nam Y/n!" The professor yelled making
Y/n get up in a second. She didn't even know the lesson had started. "My apologies sir" She apologized, the professor ignored her words and continued with the lesson.
