chapter 44; "down the hall"

Time had passed by with the winter break finally being over as the students were to go back to their school. Y/n woke up early in the morning to make breakfast for the two members in her family just like the usual before getting ready and walking through the door to meet Hyunjin waiting for her every single day, sometimes they'd go out for breakfast but since Uni had started again, Hyunjin decided to take her out earlier than before for breakfast. Her half up and half down hair got brushed by the wind as she got into Hyunjin's car, her coat on he rhand as she placed it away with Hyunjin driving off.

"What!? No!" Y/n yelled at Hyunjin, the favor he asked had shocked her too much.

"Why not? It's already been a few months and my dad keeps nagging me on if I have a girlfriend and I had to tell him that I did!"

"Why would you do that? What I'd he doesn't like me?" Y/n fell into stress as she grabbed her head tightly, shrinking inside the car.

January 3rd, 19:34 PM • FLASHBACK

"Like I said, you'll start going on blind dates if you don't want to find true love that badly" Mr.Hwang spoke as Hyunjin ate dinner.

"Ohh so true love can be find through blind dates that are SET UP by the parents?" Hyunjin scoffed, he knew Y/n didn't want neither of their parents to find out about them.

"That's how me and your mother got together" Hyunjin's father looked at him dead seriously as Hyunjin gulped, feeling like he had just insulted his own parents.

"Still, I'd call that fake." Hyunjin kept on with the rambling.

"Hyun-" before his mother, Mrs.Hwang could meddle in, Hyunjin got sick of the questions and the begging. "I have a girlfriend, I've just kept her a secret because she doesn't want you guys to know about her!" Hyunjin yelled as his father's jaw dropped and his mother smiled in awe.

"Awhh!" Her mother let out whilst his father just stated at him in silence.

"I-" Hyunjin froze. "Bring her over then, it wouldn't be so bad to meet her" Mr.Hwang gestured. "What if you insult her?" Hyunjin death stared at his father. "For what? Pfft, do you think just cause I have the money I'm like those evil fathers who doesn't let their sons date a normal family's daughter?" His father joked, Hyunjin looked at his mother before the two of them answered "yes."

"I'm not like that." Mr.Hwang scoffed as he crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.

"I'll ask her first then" Hyunjin responded as he finished his steak as the maids took the plate.

"What were you doing in your parents house anyway?" Y/n asked, squinting her eyes in confusion. "I spent the new years with them and yeaaaaah it ended up like that" Hyunjin scratched the back of his beck. "Gosh, I'm going to be an embarrassment" Y/n threw her head back in frustration as Hyunjin placed his palm behind Y/n's head to stop her from doing so. "Don't you dare say that again, I'm going to throw you out of the car if you do"

"And I'm going to burn your house down" Y/n responded as Hyunjin scoffed. "Come onnnnnn, it'll be fine" Hyunjin whined as they arrived at a Cafe to have breakfast.

"I'll do it if you meet my father after I meet your family" Y/n gave in a quick deal, causing Hyunjin to taide his eyebrows. "Easy" he smiled as Y/n was in shock to see how fast he had agreed. "You're too much of a show off, change it" Y/n scoffed as they picked out a table with Hyunjin laughing at Y/n's comment.

The two couples sat down on the table, the sibling demeanor between them escaping as they entered the lovely couple demeanor.

"So..What're you planning to do to Wonyoung if you see her today?" Y/n asked as the waitress had already went off to get their usual breakfast set.

"Ignore her and stop reminding me about her love" Hyunjin rubbed his temples as he stared at Y/n with a sorry expression.

"I'll do the same then, I don't want to lose my pride" Y/n shrugged as the two of them held hands, Hyunjin's eyes landing on the diamond bracelet he had gifted Y/n and a necklace around her neck to match the bracelet.

"Should I gift you the ring of this set too?" Hyunjin smiled as Y/n looked down on what he was referring too. "Right, they're silver right? No wonder why they kept their color everytime I shower with them on" Y/n smiled as she admired the bracelets.

"I'm sorry what?-- silver?" Hyunjin asked, his eyes widening. Y/n looked at Hyunjin and tilted her head sideways in confusion. "They're diamond babe" Hyunjin announced as Y/n's eyes shot up and she quickly pulled her arm near her eyes to scan them. "What!?" She asked as she scanned them thoroughly although she was no expert. "And I was showering with them???" She asked, feeling bad for all the hell she made them go through.

"They don't get damaged under water so it should be fine--" Hyunjin tries to calm her down.

"Yes but they're still diamonds, how come you didn't tell me!?" Y/n cut Hyunjin off freaking out on the spot. "Babe, babe! Calm down oh my gosh" Hyunjin patted Y/n's head, causing her to raise her eyebrows as she stared at Hyunjin. "You should've told me" Y/n scoffed.

"Next time" Hyunjin moved his head within his words as in calming Y/n down with his head whilst nodding them in slow motion.

"Don't get me the ring if it's fucking diamonds you moron" Y/n's tone still filled in shock as she looked down on her bracelet.

"We'll see about that" Hyunjin winked at Y/n.

"Don't--" the breakfast set for the two of them were served and placed right infront of them.

"Eat" Hyunjin cut her off and signaled her to eat instead. Y/n rolled her eyes but dug into the set right infront of her along with Hyunjin.

Y/n and Hyunjin walked through the halls of the school, they weren't completely over eachother but they were walking together which caused the other girls who liked Hyunjin to look at her weirdly, with jealously filling their eyes.

"Why are am I being stared at like I'm a steak?" Y/n scoffed as Hyunjin lightly chuckled at the sentence before they stopped at the entrance of Hyunjin's lecture hall. "Ignore them love, I'll get going. Goodluck with your lecture" Hyunjin smiled at Y/n, earning on back from her as she turned behind and walked away whilst Hyunjin walked into the lecture hall and picked his seat out.

Meanwhile, Y/n walked down through the hallway, her eyes searching for Chaewon before a light tap is felt on her shoulder and she looks around to see her.

"Y/n!" Chaewon smiled as she got up front Y/n and linked their arms together. "How are you?" Y/n asked, they has their first lecture together so they made their way to the hall.

"I'm good, my parents are deciding on finally buying me a house!" Chaewon squealed excitingly. Y/n's mouth fell at the exciting news. "That's very nice of them, any ideas on the type of theme you'll be going for?" Y/n asked as they entered the lecture and sat down together.

"No idea, you can help me pick it out though" Chaewon smiled with her teeth as they took their laptops out in sync, giving them a small laugh at how synced they were.
