chapter 53: "camping and new greets"

"I hope the others bring their brother" Y/n sighed, knowing Da-hye and her friends would be the loudest there.

"Minho is bringing Jisung, that should be enough" Hyunjin joked.

"I'm for real though"

"Relax, he'll hang out with us if it's too much for him"

Thirty minutes later, everyone had packed up, leaving the house with both of their parents away.

"Does mom and dad have keys to the house?" Da-hye asked, seated in the car with tons of space left to spare.

"Mhm, I told them that they're under the rug" Y/n hummed, lying as Hyunjin started driving, this time carefully since there were kids in the car.

On the other hand, the two parents were away at the mall. Buying groceries and clothes for themselves to enjoy.

The car moved smoothly, Hyunjin and Y/n chatting away in a sweetie tone. The only awkward situation being the one in the backseat.

The girls went silent, the elephant in the room obvious. "Quick introduction, I'm Da-hye, this is Seowon, hyein and kaylee. What's your name?" Da-hye broke the silence, her extroverted enegery filling the atmosphere.

Seong hesitated, his eyes not knowing where to glance at. Da-hye scoffed, her head thrown back before coming back to Seong. "We don't bite, trust" Da-hye added, letting her intrusive thoughts win.

"Hwang Seong" The boy smiled shyly, turning his head away.

"At least you're not an asshole like your brother" Da-hye added, the rest of the three girls giggling at the interaction the two were having. Seong laughed at the sentence, almost breaking in half as Hyunjin groaning could be heard from the front. "I could drop you off any moment" Hyunjin responded, wasting his time arguing with the mini version of Y/n.

"Try" Y/n responded, defending her sister as Hyunjin went silent at the sentence. "Yes ma'am"

"He's not a clean person" Seong whispered to Da-hye, clearly lying to get a conversation with her. Whereas Hyunjin didn't hear it since he was busy honking at a truck for freezing at a green light. Y/n on the other hand, furrowed her eyebrows at the mutter. Knowing fully well that Hyunjin was the cleanest boy she had ever met.

Da-hye laughed at the whisper, giggling quietly as the other three couldn't help but secretly film.

"By the way, did you get the marshmallows Hyein?" Seowon turned to Hyein, Kaylee gulping loudly. "Wasn't Kaylee supposes to bring them?"

"Didn't we give it to Hyein?"

"I thought Da-hye had the marshmallows"

"What? No!"

The car erupted into chaos, unable to figure out who had what given to them as a small task.

"Girls, we'll just buy more marshmallows on the way. There's a gas station coming right up" Y/n tried to calm the rest down as they finally piped down with Hyunjin pulling up at a gas station, getting out of the car to refill his fuel.

"Who's coming out to pick out the marshmallows?" Y/n asked, opening her door as Da-hye raised her hands.

"You're sitting in the middle Da-hye, you'll cause trouble. Seong, do you have good taste in snacks?" Y/n asked, Seong just stood silent, not knowing what to do since he most likely didn't express his opinion often.
