C H A P T E R ~ 26

Navy Brook Routledge

And just like that. It was Saturday. DCS day. Well not for me because I'm at work but god knows what will happen.

I had been at work for 2 and a half hours now and it was carnage. It was 12:30 lunch rush hour. Everyone's least favorite time of day.

No correction. Week. Least favorite time of the week.

"NAVY CAN YOU HELP ME IN THE KITCHEN KID" I heard our head chef Jesse shout.

"COMING" I shouted back before racing to help.

As soon as I stepped foot into the kitchen I took in the mess.

"Omg Jesse what the frick happened in here" I asked as I raced over to the sink to wash my hands before I touched any of the food. "I honestly have no idea Navy but can you jump on deserts with Mary for me?" He asked. "Yeah no problem" I replied before heading over to help Mary with deserts.

"Navy you are free to go" I let out a sigh of relief at Mike's words. It was about 10pm and I could finally go home.

"YES THANK YOU" I screamed in happiness as I threw my apron over my coat hook before racing out to my bike.

I sped home as fast as I could, despite to get out of the clothes I've had on all stinking day, along with my shoes which are slowly giving me blisters from how long I've worn them for.

I pulled up into our little parking area round the side of the house to see all the lights off apart from my bedroom one and the window open so I could hear the small tv I had playing one of many marvel films.

A smile beamed onto my face before I turned off my bike with my keys in my hand and headed inside.

"HELLO?" I shouted to gain someone's attention.

"ITS JUST ME BABY" I heard a certain blonde boy shout. I smiled as I walked to the shed we had out back to see JJ waxing his board.

"Hey" I smiled.

"Hi love, how was work" he asked as he set the wax down and walked over to me embracing me into a tight hug.

"Ugh long, I ended up helping out in the kitchen" I sighed as I flopped into a chair.

"Anyways what have you been doing all day, where JB?" I questioned as he went to finish waxing his board.

"I've been asleep most of the day then I did the food shop and now I'm waxing everyone's boards" he smiled up at me.

"You waxed my board?" I asked.

"Yeah it's over there" he said with a cheeky grin. "Thank you Jay" I smiled as I pulled out my phone to text Cleo as she messaged me hours ago but I haven't gotten chance to reply.

After texting with Cleo me and JJ headed inside to get ready for bed as it was really late.

I yawned as JJ pulled me towards him.

"You cute" he laughed as I dug my head into his neck. "Shut up Jay" I laughed back before we both drifted off to sleep.

Hi guys, sorry there's only like 500 words, I am completely out of ideas like fully and have decided to take a break as I have no time at all to write anything at the moment but I shouldn't be gone for long :)
