Chapter 16: Another blind date? Another Pest?

Summary: Another blind date happens and another pest that no one likes joins the scene and Chessman is less than pleased and makes his displeasure known.

Author's Note: I have no idea where this chapter came from. The Muse felt that it was needed and did not want to launch directly into the match with FNC. The Muse has been consuming a lot of caffeine lately....and having been cackling and humming "Something this wicked way comes" in their office, this Author is unnerved a little! So please be nice to this Author concerning this chapter!

Chapter Sixteen

"Why are you sulking right now?" frowned Yao in concern as she settled beside Yue with a concerned look to the male. She watched as he groaned and gave her a pitiful look and tilted her head to the side further.

"My mother finally decided on my punishment for being as she called a little shit when I first came to the base. Normally, she wouldn't do it but since I was a little shit? She is forcing me on a Blind Date with a potential business partner's daughter." he muttered with a sour tone as he glared some with mutiny at his computer screen and was so focused on it that he did not see the dark look that flashed over Yao's face at his words.

"What the hell is the matter with parents and forcing their children on goddamn blind dates!" raged Yao in her thoughts as she gritted her teeth trying to keep herself calm because even though she knew little of the woman, she had a feeling that if Yue actually really protested that Director Wang would have called it off. Because she had a feeling that the woman was nothing like her own mother as she could see that women actually cared about her sons and their happiness. "Tell you what, if you need a rescue? Text me, I will come and get you." nodded Yao to the male as she patted his shoulder as he perked up looking at her if she were his hero.

"Thanks Salt Maiden." grinned Yue at the female as she nodded her head and moved walking to her own computer. "My brother is one lucky bastard Salt Maiden, to get landed with you." he thought with fondness as he shook his head because the girl really did have a big heart.

"You okay Shorty?" frowned Sicheng with concern for his girl as he moved his computer chair closer to the female as she was frowning at her blank computer. He had noted she had been a bit off since his brother had left for his blind date.

"I don't get the concept of blind dates anymore...well, I mean I do get them in a sense but if the child is really against them? Why force the issue or make an agreement with them that if they attended one, and it does not work out? Then don't force the issue because they will find someone sooner or later that meets their own standards." she spoke with pain lacing her tone as she bit her bottom lip as she felt anger on behalf of Yue but knew it was not her business.

Sicheng sighed as he was really cursing the hell his girl's mother had put her through...wait not mother, just her damn incubator because he had noted Wei was more of a mother to his girl than her birth mother. Reaching over, not giving a damn if the others saw or not even though they were the only ones in the room at the moment, he grabbed her hand with his own and was really hope she hurried up and got her revenge so they could tell the others or he was not going to be held responsible for his actions in revealing them as a couple. "Our mother is not like the one that gave you life. Trust me when I say this, if Yue was really against it? She would not enforce it and even if she tried to do so? I would step in and end it for my little brother because unlike him? I am not afraid of going against her when it counts." he reassured his girl as she nibbled on her bottom, a habit he had noted she had when she was feeling stressed, anxious or something else that caused her to feel turmoil.
