Chapter Nineteen

Sicheng frowned as he glanced at his phone as he was just about to head to bed as he was the last one up at 1am in the morning.

Kitten'sAunt: Go to Yao now! My Father just informed me that he disowned my elder sister from the Hsia family and you can better believe he did not waste any time and informed her of such because he is not one to beat around the bush and he knows that Yao is the same as him in that damn area!

A dark swear slipped from his lips as he moved fast heading up the stairs and heading for his girl's room. Opening the door without knocking, he grimaced as he spotted his girl sitting up and leaning against her headboard with De Bing lying stretched out on the bed, on the other side of her, closest to the window in the dark room. Swallowing hard, he moved into the room and closed the door behind him before he approached her, thankful for a street lamp outside making some light in the otherwise dark room, therefore making it easy for him to see to get to the bed. Eying her, he winced as he could sort of make out the wet tracks on her cheeks.

"I had a feeling it was going to happen. Grandfather said he had been going to give her a chance but decided against it. She was planning to try to gain control back over me, never mind that I am 22 years old going on 23 in a matter of months. She said the only way she would stop as if I married who she wanted me to marry...which was Jian Yang...she lost it completely and actually screamed at him when he informed her that I was no longer a Tong but a Hsia now and was his Heiress. Apparently she has not been paying attention to anything that has been going on and has boycotted all TV even the News because she should have found out during our interview after the kick off game we won, when you informed the host of my last name. I...I...but..." she trailed off with words as she hiccuped and was thankful as the man moved kicking off his slippers and climbed onto the bed beside her, pulling her into his arms. She sobbed hard as she buried her face into his chest.

"It still does not take away the sting of it because no matter what that woman has done? She still gave you life and that is the only reason why I could ever be remotely thankful towards her for. No matter what, you still loved her, Yao and that's okay, Qīn'ài de (Sweetheart)." whispered Sicheng as he kissed the top of her head, holding her tightly as she nodded and hiccuped once more. He gladly ignored as his shirt became damp from her tears and just continued to hold her, letting her cry it all out. He knew she was crying for more than just this but was probably crying from everything she has gone through with her parents.

Yao inhaled deeply as she turned her head to the side, still laying on her boyfriend's chest and stared at nothing really. "I think...I am hurting for what we could have been. I still had hope that maybe things could be repaired like my grandfather and I's relationship. Do you know what is sad though, Sicheng?" she asked in a rough tone from crying as she held the man tighter.
