Also... James and Regulus interact briefly in this chapter but I want to make it clear before anyone gets excited: 4TTE will not have Jegulus. I just... don't want to get anyone's hopes up LOL

After only getting very little sleep, Remus had to drag himself out of bed. He got a quick shower mostly to try to wake himself up and look less like a dying ghoul, which didn't work. Lily winced when he sat down at breakfast and asked if he needed to see Pomfrey again. He shook his head, stating that he hadn't gotten much sleep due to revising. Lily sighed and said that while studying was important, sleep was too.

"You'd get a worse grade from lack of sleep than lack of studying," she said.

Remus shrugged. "I'll get sleep tonight."

In Arithmancy, Talkalot really cracked down and had them do a lot of complicated work that started to give Remus a headache. He then assigned a lot of homework before sending them on their way. Remus's headache only grew as he left the classroom and Landers ran over to him, face twisted into an angry scowl.

"You can tell Sirius Black that with the way he treated me last night, he can forget going for a walk this week!"

Before Remus could respond, someone popped up right next to them. Celeste Falkfeather. "Hey, if you don't want to go on a walk with Black, I'll gladly take your place!"

Landers snorted. "You wouldn't if he treated you like he did me last night." She sounded a bit dubious, though.

Falkfeather frowned. "What did he do?"

"He—" Landers glanced at Remus then back to Falkfeather. "I wanted to study with him and he wanted to sit with Loopy and that French boy. Then he ignored me, so I left."

"He ignored you the whole night?" Falkfeather asked, sounding disgusted.

Landers shifted from foot to foot. "Erm—wellll, he—he ignored me for a while and then I left. It wasn't the entire evening. I left before he could do that to me the entire evening."

"So how long did he ignore you?"

Landers pressed her lips together, face coloring slightly. "It was... a couple of minutes while he... argued with, erm... with Charlemagne..."

"Let me make sure I have this right," Falkfeather said carefully. "He agreed to study with you... which he was going to... and then ignored you for a moment while fighting with someone...?"

"That's, er—I mean when you—you put it that way—"

Falkfeather quickly put a hand up. "No. I absolutely agree with you. It's very rude of him, and you shouldn't ever go with him ever again. Now if you don't mind, I have somewhere I need to be. Bye!" She took off running.

Landers stood still for a moment, horror filling her face now. "Oh, hippogriff feathers. Don't tell—don't tell Black any of that, Loopy, please!" With that she spun around and took off as well. "Celeste, wait! Wait! I'm still going on that walk with himmmm!"

Lily and Remus exchanged looks then Lily began giggling. "Bloody hell."

"I could have warned them about that," Cassie said, looking less amused.

"Warned them about what?" Remus asked.

"Nothing," Lily said quickly, shooting a warning glance at Cassie. Apparently she already knew what her friend was going to say, which made sense since they probably told each other everything.
