The hotel looked fancy, and it was said that the reception wasn't far from the rooms Aiden and Aru were staying in (SEPERATE ROOMS, mind you), as it was still in the building.
"The party starts at 8," Mr.Acharya said to Aiden.
"So I have 30 minutes?" asked Aiden.
"Yes, but I'm asking you once again. Do you want some sleep?"
"I'm fine dad." Aiden said. "I'll be there at 8."
"Alright then," said Mr. Acharya, turning to Aru. "Good night."
Aru gave him a (hopefully not awkward) smile. "Good night!"
"Aiden, you know where the rooms are. You can take her up."
"Sure dad," said Aiden.
Mr. Acharya took a look at Aru, and then turned around and left.
Aiden grabbed Aru's hand, "Let's go."
The two rooms were on the 12th floor, and Aru had to say that the hotel was beautiful. The architecture and designing looked so regal, to the point she was afraid to touch things.
"Grand, hm?" Aiden asked, looking around with a displeased face.
"It's not that bad," said Aru.
She knew Aiden wasn't a fan of extra, and preferred everything to be minimal.
"It's pretty," Aru unknowingly whispered.
"You think so?" Aiden asked her with a smirk.
Aru rolled her eyes, "And if I do?"
"There's nothing wrong with that, Shah," said Aiden.
Not long after, they got to their rooms. "If you need anything, I'll be next door." Aiden had said, but Aru was too mesmerised to care.
Her room was beautiful and spacious. When you entered, there was a care packet with water and chocolate. CHOCOLATE! And the chocolate was lindor. Aru was officially in heaven, and the bed was so soft!
"This is life." Aru whispered, flopping on the bed, somehow immediately falling into a deep sleep. There, she saw Nikita and Sheela.
"Hi guys!" Aru beamed.
"Hi Aru!" Sheela said. "Are you taking care of the clothes I made you?" Nikita asked.
Aru rolled her eyes. "Yes, Nikki. It's safe."
"Did you check?"
"Yes?" Aru lied.
"ARU!" Nikita yelled. "You need to check the clothes first thing in the morning."
"Okay, okay, I get it."
Meanwhile, when Aiden first got to his room, he called his mom.
"Aiden!" His mom's musical voice exclaimed. "How are you? Did you get there safely?"
"I'm fine, and yeah, we landed safely." said Aiden, setting down his bag on the bed.
"That's good," she said. Malini took in a shaky breath, "Is he okay?"
Aiden paused.
She was asking about his dad.
"He's...fine," said Aiden.
"And how is she?" asked Malini. "She? You mean Aru?" asked Aiden.
Malini let out a nervous chuckle, and Aiden knew she wasn't asking about Aru. She was talking about Annette.
