When Aiden entered the club, he immediately regret all his decisions.

The club's interior was a sensory overload of light and sound. It dimly lit, with multicolored LED lights flashing and shifting in sync with the pounding music. The lights create a strobe effect across the dance floor, casting fleeting, vivid patterns on the people moving below.

To the side, the bar is a hive of activity. Bartenders work swiftly, mixing and shaking cocktails, their motions a practiced blur. The counter is lined with a dazzling array of bottles, and the clinking of glasses mixes with the murmurs of conversation and the constant thump of the bass.

"I don't wanna be here," said Aiden, frowning.

"Don't be a wimp, Aiden," said Brynne, shoving him with her elbow. "This is an opportunity for you to socialise, because you're one of those "mysterious, quiet types."."

"Fuck you."

Brynne only laughed. "Come on, Ammamma. They're waiting."

Who is they? Aiden's mind asked.

So, Brynne led Aiden into the club.

The place was crowded with people (which did not do well for Aiden's claustrophobia) and smelled like a mixture of sweat and perfume.

"I can't beleive we're seven months into uni and this is our first clubbing event," said Brynne.

"And hopefully our last," muttered Aiden.

Brynne shoved him, "Aiden. Our social life is drowning in the Pacific Ocean. We need to do things like this more often."

"Brynne is that you?" asked someone behind them.

The two of them turned around to see Hira.

Her light brown skin had glowed with a sheen of light sweat and her hazel eyes shined with excitement. Her straight, dark brown hair fell to her shoulders neatly and she was wearing a black leather mini skirt and a watching cropped leather jacket.

Compared to the oversized clothes she wore to class, this was a completely new look.

"And Aiden?" she said, amused. "I didn't know this was your scene."

"You're into this shit?" asked Brynne, gesturing to the place around them.

She laughed, "My step-brother owns the place. You should see him. He's really into it." Hira looked at the two sceptically, "But you two...it's your first time clubbing, isn't it?"

"Yeah," said Aiden awkwardly. "I don't really wanna be here."

"It's not as bad as you think it is," said Hira. "Just don't accept drinks people bring to you, and avoid sketchy people." she looked at him sharply. "I'm heavy on the drinks one to you, Aiden."

Aiden knitted his eyebrows together, "What's that supposed to mean?"

Hira raised an eyebrow, "Have you seen yourself? You're an attractive guy. People are gonna hand you stuff like that more often then not."

Aiden groaned.

Brynne patted his shoulder, "She's right, Ammamma. Be careful."

Hira smiled, "Hey, Brynne, why don't you come with me? I'll show you around."

Aiden smirked, looking at his best friend.

Brynne caught his eye and glared, but it didn't match the red growing on her cheeks. "Yeah, sure. Aiden try finding Rudy, okay?"

Aiden glared. "What-"

"Let's go!" exclaimed Hira, grabbing Brynne's wrist, pulling her away.

Suddenly, Aiden was alone in a club, filled with people he didn't know. "Guess it's time to find Rudy." he muttered to himself.
