The next morning, Kelly woke up and shuffled to the backdoor to let Romeo out. She then headed to Quincy's room, expecting her to be awake, but to her surprise, she found her best friend fast asleep with Taylor wrapped in her arms. Smiling, Kelly closed the door quietly and headed to the kitchen to make herself coffee.

When Bailey woke up, she was surprised to find only her mother in the kitchen. "Where's CC?" she asked, looking around.

Kelly replied, "Quin and Taylor are still asleep. Let's start with breakfast."

As they cooked, Bailey said, "I didn't think Taylor could actually be so cool in person."

Kelly nodded. "She's a sweet person."

Bailey glanced down the hall, then back at her mother, who was watching her with a small smile.

Kelly poked Bailey gently. "What's on your mind, baby?"

Bailey fidgeted, looking worried. "Do you think CC and Taylor are... gonna get together?"

Kelly noticed her daughter's concern. "Does that worry you?"

Bailey shook her head quickly. "No, I just... I don't want CC to get hurt. Taylor's life is complicated compared to what CC's used to."

"Don't sell her so short, my girl," Kelly pulled Bailey into a side hug. "Besides, Quin has to make her own decisions. We can worry, but we have to let her take chances."

Bailey sighed. "I know. I like seeing CC happy. I just don't want her to go back to being so guarded and serious all the time."

Kelly kissed her daughter's head. "I have hope that Taylor will do right by Quin."

Taylor woke up first, arm around Quincy's torso, her leg draped over muscular thighs. Smiling, she carefully slipped out of bed and headed to the kitchen, where she heard Kelly laughing.

"Good morning," Taylor greeted the Kingston's, who both beamed at her.

"Morning!" Bailey chirped. "Coffee?"

"Yes, please," Taylor replied, sitting down.

Bailey made coffee for everyone while Kelly dished up breakfast. The teenager then called Romeo, who perked up and looked at her. "Go fetch Quin," she said, grinning.

Taylor watched, amused, as Romeo barked and dashed down the hall into Quincy's room. She faintly heard Quincy complaining, then laughing and greeting Romeo.

Soon, Quincy entered the kitchen, pointing a scolding finger at Bailey. Bailey just grinned and handed her a cup of coffee as a peace offering.

The tall brunette kissed Bailey and Kelly on their heads. "Morning," she greeted them before looking at Taylor with a smile. "Good morning."

Taylor smiled back, playfully welcoming her. "Morning, sleepyhead."

They ate breakfast together, chatting and laughing, before getting ready to head to the airport for their departure to Nashville. Kevin and Barbara promised to pick Romeo up later that day to look after him while they were out of town.

The flight to Nashville was filled with chatter and laughter. Kelly happily recalled moments from Quincy's games that stuck with her, and Taylor listened intently.

"I remember this one game," Kelly said, her eyes sparkling with nostalgia. "Quin made this incredible save in the last seconds of the match cementing the win. The whole crowd went wild. It was such a memorable moment."

Quincy chuckled. "I thought I was going to get tackled by my own teammates that day."

Taylor grinned. "You must have been amazing on the field."
