Everyone arrived, and when Quincy got back from the shift change, the party was in full swing. Blake was the first to spot her, pulling her into a tight hug.
"Hey, you made it!" Blake exclaimed.
Quincy smiled, hugging the actress back. "Was there any doubt?"
"No. Only a fool would doubt you," Blake squeezed her arm before letting go.
Before Quincy could say anything else, the Haim sisters stormed over, enveloping her in a group hug. The force of the three women colliding with her made her step back, but she quickly regained her balance, joking, "I've been hit!"
The sisters were quick with a response, "Our hug will heal you."
Taylor, noticing the commotion, stood across the room hidden from Quincy's sight thanks to the crowd. She kept a close watch as intense green eyes canvassed the decorated room.
Gigi waited patiently to greet Quincy once the Haim sisters let go, promising to return with a drink for her. "You need to have one!" Alana called, and before the brunette could decline, the sisters had disappeared into the crowd.
Quincy sighed and turned her attention to Gigi, greeting her with a warm smile. "It's good to see you, Gigi."
Selena noticed Taylor's stare and when she followed her line of sight, she saw Quincy, making her smile. She made her way over to the taller woman, who happily embraced her. "Quin! It's been too long," Selena said, hugging her tightly.
"Selena, always a pleasure," Quincy replied with a warm smile.
Taylor watched as Quincy introduced herself to Anthony, who seemed interested in her leather jacket, making her smile. Slowly, she made her way over to the taller woman.
When Quincy saw Taylor, her eyes lit up as she turned to face the blonde. The star didn't even have to try, her bodyguard's attention instantly shifted to her.
"Hey, you," Taylor said softly, a smile tugging at her lips.
"Hi," Quincy replied, her voice equally soft.
Taylor took Quincy by the arm. "Come on," she gestured vaguely, "let me introduce you to everyone."
They made their way through the crowd, most people carrying alcoholic beverages and ecstatic to meet the infamous perfect bodyguard.
Taylor was mid-introduction when the Haim sisters called out to the muscular brunette.
"Hey, Quin!" Este held out a glass.
Quincy lifted the glass, lips drawing in a thin lins when she realised there was alcohol in it. "A shandy, huh?"
Alana pouted, pointing at the birthday girl. "She said you'd drink it."
Quincy looked at Taylor elated that the blonde remembered her choice of drink, but she teased, sending a slight glare at the blonde, who shrugged. "They wouldn't give up."
With an exaggerated sigh, Quincy raised the glass with a soft thanks and had a sip. The Haim sisters got right to daring her to down it, calling out for her to chug it.
Taylor watched with a mixture of shock and amusement as Quincy managed to gulp the drink down in four large sips.
Cheers erupted, and Quincy blushed, realising she had garnered more attention than she wanted.
Danielle laughed, handing Quincy another shandy. "This will help with your red cheeks."
Quincy, more flustered, tentatively sipped the drink. Taylor smiled behind her glass of white wine, happy to see how fond her friends were of the green eyed brunette.
