As soon as Stevie got into the car with Lindsey, it wasn't long before she fell asleep after simply settling her head back long enough.
The drive wasn't long, so he did feel bad for having to wake her so soon after she shut her eyes but he knew she wouldn't have wanted him to let her sleep too long.
Settling his hand on her shoulder, he gently reached up to her cheek with his fingers and he stroked the side of her face.
"Steph?"
She barely moved.
"Stevie?" he repeated.
She opened her eyes, waking up startled, but then she brought her hand up to his.
"You're tired..."
She nodded her head a little.
"Once you get yourself together and eat, maybe you should take a little nap," he suggested.
"No, I gotta get back," she sighed, unhooking her seat belt.
"You're really fighting your fatigue, Steph, and that can't be good for you. I know you're worried about both Robert and Shannon, but I'm starting to worry about you and the baby. You have to think about it... Your doctor said no stressing and I know you can't help it, but you have to try."
She began to nod her head, but then she stopped and paused before opening the car door abruptly in order to throw up outside.
He sighed to himself, unhooking his seat belt in order to step out and make his way to her. He then made his way around only to see that she had both feet planted to the curb while she remained seated on the edge of the seat with her head practically between her knees.
"Come on, baby," he brushed her hair back and looked at her pale face. "Are you alright?"
She nodded, clearing her throat as she took his hand in order to pull herself up.
"How long did you say morning sickness lasts?" he then wondered.
Clearing her throat once more, she shrugged. "It's different for everybody... Doctor said it should end about fourteen to sixteen weeks, it's probably worse because of my stress levels, but also my age," she sighed licking her lips. "It's been dwindling down, but I've been really nauseated as you could imagine."
"Right..." he rubbed the small of her back. "Let's get you inside," he stated, shutting the car door before guiding her into the hotel room.
Once they made it to the room, Stevie immediately went into the bathroom to wash her face, brush her teeth and take a hot shower to relax her aching body.
Meantime, Lindsey was ordering her something more bland to eat along with some juice and water since he assumed all she had was tea.
When she came out of the bathroom, wrapped in a robe with her hair just towel dried, she took a sigh of relief.
"Do you feel better?" he wondered, setting up her food for her.
"A little," she nodded. "I feel miserable."
"I'd imagine," he nodded. "I don't really know what's making you wanna vomit at the moment and or what you're craving. I remember you said eggs weren't agreeing with you..."
"Yeah, don't even say it," she put her hand up. "Which really sucks, because that's one of my favorite things to eat, but let's not mention that for now."
"Sorry... But other than that, I got a little bit of everything as far as bland stuff."
"Yeah, this is fine," she picked up an English muffin and spread some butter and grape jam on it.
