When Sharon pulled up to Stevie's house, she looked over at the woman and she sympathized with her just as she sympathized with Lindsey earlier that morning, but in reality, there wasn't much that she could say because the bottom, line was that they were both wrong.
Although Sharon and Lori were ever so supportive of their friend, they had warned her that she and the guitarist were doing wrong by their significant others; that it would eventually get out of hand and that somebody would eventually end up getting hurt whether they meant it or not.
The last near year of hiding their affair was beginning to cost them both a lot both mentally and emotionally while it was also starting to come to light.
Rubbing her shoulder, she did her best to get her to not only support her but get her to acknowledge her surroundings since it was obvious she was in another world.
Stevie looked up and she swiped her hair back and she looked at her friend. "I really don't want to go in," she assured.
"I know you're hurt, but you can't let it bother you right now."
"I know..." she sighed. "This whole thing is gonna really end up being the death of me... You know how I feel about Lindsey..."
"Yes," she nodded. "But maybe it's the best for the time being... Until the tour at least..."
"No, I don't want to see Lindsey ever again... He kept telling me and telling me that there was nobody else but me, and I know I'm doing wrong by my husband, but at least I didn't lie to Lindsey about that..." she sighed. "I can't talk about this," she opened the car door and sniffled. "Thanks for the ride, I'm sorry for last night..."
"You don't have to apologize," she assured. "Just try and relax, hm?"
She nodded and stepped out and shut the door as she made her way up her pathway to her front door. Unlocking the front door, she sighed as she entered and gathered herself in order to prepare for her children and or husband.
As soon as she walked through the front door, Robert looked up from the dining room table and he watched her enter while reading the newspaper and sipping from a mug with black coffee.
"Hey, I heard you girls had a wild night last night," he smirked, much more relaxed than he had been.
"Yeah..." she retorted. "I've had better hangovers, let me tell you," she patted his shoulder as she moved through the room. "I'm gonna go take a shower and change, I hate when I fall asleep with my makeup on," she nearly cringed.
He chuckled to himself, knowing well that it was one thing she hated the most.
Once Stevie had jumped into the ever so hot water, all she could do was stand there and cry; she was so hurt by Lindsey, wondering what was going on within his relationship with Kristen, but as she pried on about everything in her mind, she realized she had to stop in order to get through her day.
When she got out of the shower, she combed through her hair in what felt like slow motion, she stared into space and she just sat at her vanity in her fluffy robe; she was motivated to do nothing.
...
Coming home from being out like most nights, Shannon realized she had beaten everybody home, but it was in fact the opposite.
As she was making her way through the hallway of the second floor, on her way to her bedroom, she felt the presence of her mother and she took a peek into her parents' bedroom.
Opening the door slightly, she noticed that she was dressed casually like any day, her naturally curly hair was sprawled out along her pillow, her face was free of makeup and she seemed to be sleeping soundly.
