After having made a few attempts at reaching Stevie that after noon, Lindsey figured she had started early with the girls.
Their coffee meet-ups typically turned into brunch and right when the clock struck 12, they were drinking alcohol since Friday was normally their day to talk and catch up; it always lasted hours and usually ended with Stevie being dropped off at Lindsey's and she'd tell her husband she was at Sharon's.
He knew her routine pretty well and even though he had not spoken to her in a few days, he knew he could expect her at some point that evening whether she was sober or completely plastered, he wasn't sure, but he didn't care.
Being with her in general really made his day and nights, so the moments they were able to be together for some time was always pleasurable, even when they fought, only because it typically led to excessive amount of makeup sex.
Smirking to himself, simply at the thought of the vivacious singer, Lindsey paused the film he was watching and stood up from his couch in order to make his way to the kitchen for a glass of water.
He returned with his beverage and as he picked up his remote to continue his movie, there was a knock at the door.
The guitarist furrowed his brow, but nevertheless, he got up to see who it was. Opening the front door, he was then further taken aback.
"Hi," she grinned innocently.
"Hi..." he paused. "Shannon, what are you doing here?" he wondered.
"Aren't you gonna invite me in?" she boldly asked.
"Uh, yeah... Sorry," he shook his head, stepping aside for her to enter. "It's Friday, I thought you worked tonight..." he continued as he closed the door behind her.
"My shift tonight got switched around since they're training a couple of new girls. So I go in later and then work till two," she assured. "I thought I'd swing by since I had some extra time... I hope I'm not intruding..." she lingered.
"Yes-- No-- I mean..." he trailed, glancing at the clock, hoping Stevie wasn't planning on coming by at any point soon. "Not at this moment, but I have to leave soon," he lied. "I'm supposed to meet with my boss later for dinner to go over some scheduling for the next few moments."
"Ah, I get it," she nodded. "Well, if you have a little time till then, I was wondering if you wanted to get lunch... I have a long shift ahead of me and my friend bailed on me for her boyfriend," she lifted her brow.
"Sorry to hear that..."
"It's not a big deal, we practically live together and she hasn't seen him..." she dusted the comment off. "But how does food sound? Or something..."
"Uh, yeah... Sure, kiddo..." he agreed. "Let me go change real quick."
She nodded, very happy and giddy at the fact that she got the man to agree for the simple fact that she had dropped by on short notice.

"Well, it was lovely meeting you ladies," Kristen stood up, pulling money from her wallet.
"No, no... I told you already, my treat," Stevie assured, even in her buzzed state, reacting to the woman.
The younger blonde leered.
"Please, you did a lot for us," Jeffrey added.
"You guys are sweet," she commented.
"Did you drive here?" Sharon then wondered considering the gal had a few glasses of red wine.
"No, I walked from work," she assured.
"I could always--"
"I can give you a ride," Jeffrey chimed in, cutting off Sharon.
