By the time visiting hours were over in the hospital, the entire family went home with the exception of the singer; she was staying with her husband.

Danielle didn't argue the blonde, but simply wondered if she'd be more comfortable at home considering she was pregnant and needed proper rest. But nothing came from it simply because many times, over the years with hospital stays did they stay with one another, sleeping in an arm chair or whatever was available in the room and Stevie made it clear.

Luckily for the singer, nobody opposed her and that time around, it was a small couch in Robert's room and the nurse taking care of him brought her a pillow and blanket.

When early morning came around, a nurse came in to check the patient, checking his blood pressure and vitals.

Of course, Stevie shifted and she sat up.

"Good morning, Missus Walker, sorry to wake you," she replied.

"No worries," she shook her head.

"Doctor Hansen will be in the next hour or so. She just got here and she's making her rounds with patients."

"Sounds good. I'm going to call our kids, that way they can be here."

"Of course," the nurse replied and made her way out after making a few notes.

Stevie then got up and she smoothed her hair down, walking over to check her husband since he was face down. She then stepped out of the room to use the phone at the receptionist's desk.

She dialed her house to let everybody know what was going on, luckily, Jeffrey answered and he'd relay the message.

But once that call was over, she moved onto the next one she hadn't made in a few days.

"Hello?"

"Lindsey, it's me..." she mumbled.

"Hey, how's it going? How did the surgery go?" he wondered.

"Good, everything went well..." she sighed. "I just thought I'd call because... Well, I thought I'd check in."

"I know the situation well, you know you don't have to do that," he claimed. "But how are you feeling, baby?"

"Better since the surgery is over with. I just don't want to be here... The kids are gonna come with their aunts, his sisters. I just don't wanna deal with them. My mom and dad are coming... Everybody's here and the one I really need is you."

"I could come by," he mentioned. "But I already know the trouble that could cause and I don't want to cause any problems."

"Oh, we're already in trouble, honey... But I can't wait to get back on the road after all of this... They're gonna see about getting him to stand, I think."

"How long does it take for the feeling in his legs to come back?"

"I'm not sure. The doctor is going to be coming this morning to check on things... But I wouldn't mind if you came and picked me up secretly..."

He chuckled.

"I just need to be with you, I can't wait till the end of the week."

"Okay. How does eleven sound?"

"Good," she glanced at the clock. "The kids will be here around that time so I can slip away for a little while," she smiled.

"You're sounding very excited to see me," he chuckled. "Something about being secretive turns you on, huh?"

"Possibly," she smirked. "I'll see you soon, lover."

"See you soon," he chuckled lightly.

Just as she was settling the phone on the hook, she noticed the doctor making her way towards the desk with a file in her hand to switch for another.
