When the first night of the Street Angel tour finally came, Stevie and Lindsey made it to the venue in L.A. for the blonde to officially go through rehearsal, for hair and makeup and everything that came with being a rock and roll singer in the '90s.
Meantime, Lindsey was working with the band, making sure every musical transition was smooth, making sure everybody had their cues while Christopher worked on the lighting cues with him.
Pretty soon, Karen came out of the dressing room, grabbing both Sharon and Lori as she was requested, without really letting the rest of the band know.
Thankfully, everybody was pretty occupied with the instrumental part of rehearsal that nobody really noticed the girls had slipped away, but it was often that they were back and forth from the stage and dressing room.
"What's going on?" Sharon asked as they entered.
Stevie gave Jessica back to her sister in-law and she sighed.
"I'm so nauseous," she claimed, shaking her head.
"Oh, Steph, you know how you get before a show... You're always super sick to your stomach. I'm sure it's just nerves," Sharon mentioned.
"No, this feels different. These aren't nerves," she argued. "I just feel like I'm gonna throw up at any second."
"Did you eat?" Lori asked.
"I only had a plain piece of toast this morning," she sighed. "Lindsey made me eat it and it took away the nausea for a bit, but now I'm feeling not good again. I can feel my self getting anxious... I can try, but I don't know if I can get through rehearsal, let alone the show," she shook her head.
"Do you want me to call your doctor?" Karen asked. "I think it would put all of us at ease if they stopped by and ran a blood test or something..."
"Yeah, call her doctor," Lori asked.
Karen obeyed.
"Lori!" she complained.
"Stevie, you need to get checked out. You've been feeling sick for a few weeks now. I doubt it's the climate change anymore..." she assured, readjusting her baby on her hip.
She sighed, doing her best to muster the strength to get on stage to rehearse with her band.
"Mm, and there she goes," Lori rolled her eyes as she followed the blonde out.
Sharon sighed as she too followed, making her way to her microphone.
Lindsey grinned as soon as Stevie came out, though, he noticed instantly that she was looking pale and a little weaker than she had in the morning.
"Let's go over, um..." she brought her hand to her head. "Um..." she sighed and looked at Lindsey.
He walked over to her, guitar still across him as he settled his hand on her shoulder.
"Are you feeling alright?" he wondered.
"Yeah, I'm just tired and I'm starting to get anxious..." she sighed. "What are we working on?"
"You wanted to hear the transition from Outside the Rain into Dreams..."
"Oh, yeah..." she sighed.
He took his guitar off of himself and set it aside, but he remained close to her.
She cued her band to begin and they did.
"Outside the rain and the heart skips a beat... So you're lonely... Creature of the night it's been just about a week. Can you love me only?" she pulled away from microphone, "Stop, stop... I have to stop," she sighed, resting her head on her wrist as she used her microphone for stability.
