"You can't post bail until tomorrow though because it's a weekend... He won't even be processed yet," Jeffrey explained.
"I'll send somebody to get him in the morning because I'm not about to deal with him," she shook her head. "He can sit there for all I care. I told you guys not to cause any trouble and I know, I know..." she put her hand up. "I know you didn't cause it per sé, but you were still involved and that makes me very upset."
"I know," he mumbled.
"I'm just glad you weren't hurt too badly..."
"I've dealt with worse..."
She sighed, "I'm glad you defended your father and got your brother out of there, but I'm just annoyed... I have a lot of other things on my mind and I need a hot shower."
"I'm sorry, mom..." he said for maybe the millionth time by that point.
"You don't need to apologize," she walked over and pecked a kiss to his head.
"When you do see dad, don't be too hard on him either," he rubbed her shoulder.
She lifted her brow.
"Dad really didn't do anything, he was buzzed, he bumped into the girl and apologized right away, it was her drunk boyfriend that started the issue... I promise," he added.
"And I believe you," she nodded. "I promise."
He nodded.
"Alright, put some ice on that eye, take some Motrin and try to rest..."
"Goodnight, mama, I love you."
"I love you too," she sighed and turned to make her way up the stairs with Shannon's denim jacket that had remained on the dining room table along with her key to take to the room.
When she made it up to the second story of her home, she went to the end of the hall and she saw that Nicholas was asleep after having showered that night from all the excitement. She then made her way into Shannon's room where she could place the girl's things on her bed so she'd at least see them.
But as soon as Stevie turned to leave, the bedroom light turned on.
"Oh, hey... I was about to ask who'd been in here, my door's always shut..." the younger blonde replied.
"Just me," her mother replied. "Your... Lindsey brought your jacket by, he said you left it in the car and he figured you needed it when he saw your key slip out."
"Sweet!" she said very enthused. "Yeah, tonight was hell without my bottle opener, having to wait for everybody else to use it and hand it to me..."
"Well, you have always been impatient," she smirked.
"I move quickly and I do my job well for a reason..." she shrugged. "Anyways, so what time did he come by?"
"Um..." she blanked for a split second when she realized she had to lie. "Not too long after you ran in to change actually... He just came to drop it off and then he left---he said he was in hurry but he didn't want you to go without your stuff," she explained without hesitation.
"Mm," she bit her bottom lip with a smirk to herself. "He's a sweetheart..." she assured, pulling her zip-up hoodie off.
"Very thoughtful..." she hugged herself, taking in her daughter's very short, ripped up shorts, corset top that exposed her lower stomach and her combat boots.
The young girl was absolutely stunning and although she dressed for herself, it was always a head turner due to her beautiful hourglass figure and long blonde hair---it didn't surprise her parents that she had a new date almost every week.
