Lindsey was in his studio that afternoon, playing the guitar while making sheet music and also writing lyrics to a new song.
The reality was, he too was ever so stressed about everything that had happened the night before and since then, he hadn't heard from Stevie so he only imagined the discussions taking place in her home.
He knew the singer had become a masterful liar within that year; some of her excuses even shocked him because he didn't expect her husband would believe some of the things she came out with, but he always did. He just wasn't sure there was anyway to turn their night around, he wasn't sure what would come about regarding Shannon and he knew he was in the very middle of it.
Pretty soon, there was a ring of his house phone and he became excited; it had to be her.
He settled his guitar to the side and he picked up the phone and pulled the antenna out as he stood to pace as he always did.
"Hello?"
"Lindsey, it's me..."
He sighed. "What's up, Kristen?" he wondered calmly.
"I figured I'd call considering we're not really on a drop-in kind of basis anymore. I was wondering if you were around so I could pick up the last of my things?" she wondered.
"Sure, I'm home..."
"Great, I just wanted to talk to you about something also..."
"I'd imagine," he agreed, knowing well that she had joined Stevie and her friends for lunch the day before, prior to the night really taking a turn.
"Really?" she asked.
"Yeah, but listen. We'll talk when you get here, I'm waiting on a call."
"Alright, I'll see you in a bit then..." she confirmed before hanging up.
He sighed to himself as he plopped back into his swivel chair at his table and slammed the antenna back into the phone.
"This woman is truly going to be the end of me," he mumbled as he picked his guitar back up.

Meantime, at Lori's, Stevie had ended up taking both of her kids with her and it worked out since Jeffrey could hang out with his uncle, Shannon stayed playing and taking care of Jessica while Stevie stayed with Lori to make sure she wasn't actually dying.
"I haven't had a hangover like this in so long..." she groaned, planting her face into her pillow.
"I don't know when you will learn that we are not in our twenties anymore," the blonde smirked. "I'm surprised I'm not feeling worse, but all my stress from last night surely fed off the alcohol," she lifted her brow.
"I appreciate you guys coming... Chris is not speaking to me and of course, he's mad that I'm unable to be a mother today. He's probably gonna go get drunk next..." she rolled her eyes.
"What happened?" she wondered. "You guys were fine last week..."
"We're just tired I think... It's hard having a one year old..." she shrugged. "I can't believe you did this at nineteen and then again in your twenties..." she sighed. "I was drunk most of my twenties."
"I know, I remember... I was drunk too," she smirked. "And let's not forget thirty," she smirked. "I had Nicholas older... Meantime, you went for the gusto by having her at forty-one," she chuckled.
"Well, between the two of us fighting, her being so little, we're both just stressed and tired. He simply wants to do what he wants to do and he's mad that I'm going on tour with you, but somebody has to work."
