Sitting across from Yushiro, alone, since Tamayo had taken Tanjiro and Nezuko into the other room to extract her blood, (Y/N) glared at him, and he glared back. The room was awash with a tense silence only broken by the tick of the clock on the wall, the other not willing to break their gaze nor willing to add any more sound to the quiet.

What is up with this guy?

This simp...

Acting all high and mighty...

It pisses me off.

Yushiro's thoughts were pretty similar, but also different considering they concerned Tamayo.

Why does Tamayo-sama see in her?

She's clearly a liability.

Tamayo-sama is prettier and more than capable of producing a cure with only the blood samples provided by Kamado Tanjiro...

As much as I hate to admit it.

When (Y/N) shifted due to her legs having pins and needles, Yushiro immediately snapped his gaze back to hers and grunted, "What do you think you're doing? You have something to do? If you have to leave right now, I'll gladly escort you to the door so you don't have to bother Tamayo-sama anymore."

She deadpanned.

Yep.

Fucking simp.

"If you hadn't noticed, I've been sitting on my ass for quite some time, and that shit hurts," she scowled as she continued to shift her position so that she was more comfortable. "So stop being a bitch-boy and just let me be."

He spluttered at her foul language.

She snickered at that.

Completely irritated and fed up with the woman whom he had met only a few hours ago, he launched himself at her and tackled her to the floor, trying to strangle her it seemed from the way he kept grabbing at her throat. She fought him back though, kicking at his stomach and socking him across the jaw, something that made him fall backward and allow her to push him down so that his back was now on the floor.

    He growled lowly.

"You know," she started, breathing heavily as her hair hung past her face. "You really shouldn't attack someone who hunts down and kills demons for a living, okay?"
