"(Y/N)!" Kyojuro exclaimed in joy when seeing her walk through the main doors of the Flame Mansion, immediately engulfing her in a hug that he so desperately needed. "You came back to me... you came back to me..."

He sucked in a breath when she raised her arms as if to embrace him as well, however she merely placing her hands on his own to release her, her expression impassive and one void of any emotion. He searched her gaze, trying to find what was wrong, but he was told nothing, kept locked out and barred from what was her heart by the constant walls she kept erecting.

    He despised such a thing.

"There is something that I must tell you, Rengoku Kyojuro," she said, watching as he flinched from how formal she was being.

    Something was wrong.

    Drastically wrong.

    He didn't understand.

Did he do something wrong to make her act like this? Why was she pushing him away?

"Come inside, then," he gestured for her to follow him, but his expression only flashed with hurt when she didn't budge, standing there and staring at him with that unchanging look. "What is it? What's wrong, (Y/N)? You're acting... different..."

"I have once tried to run away because of my demonic constitution," she said as she pressed her hand to her chest. "But as you can see, that has not worked since Kibutsuji just found me again through the Twelve Kizuki. And now... now he has tried to exert the most control he has over me by placing me at a position above the Upper Moons." Gesturing to the kanji etched into her eyes, a constant reminder of what she was, she continued, "I cannot allow him that. I cannot fucking allow him to be able to use me to destroy the Demon Slayer Corps. So I ask you, Kyojuro... as my mentor, as my guide, as my friend... please kill me."

    Kyojuro stilled.

He stared at (Y/N), the air silent and filled with an almost tangible and tense atmosphere.

    And he couldn't believe it.

    He couldn't.

She wants me to... to kill her?

    No...

    I can't...

Gripping her shoulders tightly, his expression filled with confusion and desperation, obsession and devotion, he shouted, "No! I will never do that! I cannot! Please, (Y/N)... please don't say such things ever again!"
