It had been a week since (Y/N) had left the Demon Slayer Corps and started living on her own, and already she had to move locations several times since the Hashira and other Slayers—including Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke—infiltrated her territory. It was obvious that they were on other missions, but they still desperately called out for her and looked for her as well.

It was starting to aggravate her.

What was more, there were a multitude of demons that she had to kill because they had also been trying to scope out where she was for Muzan.

    She didn't understand.

    She didn't understand anything.

Growling lowly to herself as she slid open the door of the house that she had procured, it being old and worn and abandoned, she stepped out into the cold night towards the small village where she had found a job selling newspapers. The pay wasn't much, but it was what she needed to continue surviving, and she would rather stick with that instead of continue in the Demon Slayer Corps.

Here, no one knew she was a demon.

Here, no one was infatuated with her.

Here, she could build up a new life for herself until she could find a cure to turn herself human again.

She just wished she knew where to start.

Letting out an exhale of breath, she checked in with her boss and took the newspapers out to the street whilst calling out to passerby's. Even though some people made her want to shred them open from their attitude towards her, she restrained her demonic instincts and made sure to keep up the act that she was just a regular human.

    And it had worked.

But then it didn't when someone insulted her.

    That little bitch...

(Y/N) could feel her eye twitching as she stomped down the road toward where her current house was, fury pumping through her veins when recalling the man who had degraded and laughed at her when insulting her to her face. It was enough to make her see red, having lashed out at him and cut his face with her nails, the attack enough to make her boss fire her. She wished with all of her might that she could go out and kill that man right then, but knew she couldn't since she would just be lowering herself to what Muzan wanted her to be.

And she would never stoop so low.

Just as she was about to exit the town, a familiar aura and presence made her freeze, whirling around to search her surroundings for who it was that made her have such a reaction. When her eyes locked with those of bright yellow, ones that she had seen before, rage like never before flooded her body and made her launch herself upward with unrestrained bloodlust, grabbing the demon by his neck and throwing him through several buildings.
