— is it a curse, or is it a blessing
it can be both, or it can be nothing
for him, it was always you
in his heart, you were from the beginning too —
Mist.
It sneaked around the Scorpion like a nightmare enveloping your mind when you are the most vulnerable. The night, dark as pits of hell slowly turned white like the most blinding part of heaven, the more mist kept appearing the moment they entered the Bay of Sorrows.
Chay was standing on the deck. Body, shivering a little as he was trying to see at least a bit where they were going. But... "I can't see shit!" he groans and turns to Kim with puppy eyes.
"We are almost there. Actually," Kim pointed right in front of them, "it's right there. We are mooring!" he called out, and the crew sprung to action.
"How can you see anything there?" Chay pouted and walked up back to Kim.
"Years of practice, darlin'," Kim smirked. "Now, listen carefully—once we get to the oracle, don't talk to her if you don't have to. Don't keep eye contact with her unless it's necessary. And stay close to me. Promise me you'll do that, Chay."
"I promise I'll do that, captain," Chay smiled. This was something new. Something he had heard only skin-shivering stories about. There was no way he was about to walk around the Bay of Sorrows without Kim right beside him. He would just stick by Kim's side and pray that they would get some useful information and safely sail away once again. "But... she isn't some crazy, old hag, right? She won't try to kill me if I look at her the wrong way or something, right?"
"She is most definitely an old hag," Kim said ominously. "But most of the time, she is helpful."
Chay took a deep breath, "okay... well... let's go! My first time meeting a real witch!"
"Not a witch. Oracle," Kim said and opened his palm for Chay to take.

Their boots buried deep into the mud, just like the day Kim was here alone. Even rain—just like the time Kim was here alone—suddenly started pouring down on the world. Kim gripped Chay's hand tighter and turned back to his ship, "keep an eye on everything. Don't let Pearl out of the below deck and be ready—we are leaving as soon as we can."
"Aye captain," Big nodded, his eyes deep like an ocean, scanning the Bay of Sorrows for any danger.
"The Phantom of a Pirate and the Bearer of the Ruby Red... I was waiting for you," the voice—smooth and sweet resounded through the bay.
Chay twitched a little, head turning in many different directions, trying to find the source of it.
Kim didn't need to look at all. The oracle... he'd know her voice everywhere. That voice brought shivers to his skin every time, but when they needed to talk... they needed to talk.
