POV:

She just stood there, hands clenched at her sides. She knew that this was what it would have to come to. She never was good at hiding her emotions, maybe it was her face.

"What happened the other day?" she asked. He cocked his head looking at her.

"You got mad at some guard and then just acted odd since," she said yelling. Looking up, she noticed him starting to sweat a little bit. He looked off to the side.

"If that is what this is about, I can't tell you, not yet," he said looking down. His arms where crossed and when he finally looked up at her.

"Look, Katie, I just can't. Not now," he said. She had millions of possibilities running through her head. She culdn't think of one that was worse than the other, they all just seemed to hurt her.

"Who is she?" Katie asked. His eyes widened. She was looking off to the side, and while her face was turned, he could smell a bit of salt. Tears. She was crying.

Standing up straight, he tried to walk towards her. "Just stay back. I want to trust you, but I can't right now," She said running off to her room. He tried to chase her, but by the time he reached her door, she wouldn't open it. It was locked.

His back facing the door, he slid down to the ground, and just heard her muffled sniffles. He was keeping a secret till they truly talked and discussed things. He wanted it to be a surprise, but he was waiting for their wedding day.

"Katie, I know you can hear me. There is no one else. Its a surprise, nothing bad, I swear to it. Please you need to trust me," He said, despiration in his voice.

He heard nothing. Slowly getting up he walked back to his room and collapsed on his bed. Since finding her, he felt like one bad thing was happeneing after another to keep them apart.

His eyes opened to the sun shinning through the window. He didn't understand what was going through her mind, or rather, what lead her to believe that there was someone else. The more he thought about it though, not everyone really stayed true to their mate. he imagined that she may have seen it enough in the town, or perhaps heard stories.

Maybe she had thought of a girlfriend cheating on her boyfriend, or a boyfriend cheated on her or a friend to be more specific. But this surprise had to work, for her it just had to. But he knew he needed to convince her that he wasn't seeing anyone, that the life they had pictured, the freedom and care that they wanted for themselves and the people of their pack could be aquired.

He smiled and got to work on the surprise, but before that, he grabbed a bouquet of flowers that he had prepaired and knocked on the door. Katie relucktatly opened it and looked at him. He held out the flowers and she grabbed them reluctantly. But when she looked down at them, she felt a slight smile approach.

"Can we please walk and talk," he said. She nodded. Stepping out they decided to walk towards the gardens, flowers still in her hand. He knew he neded to break the ice.

"Katie, I know I haven't really talked to you much, and I'm sorry that I didn't realize it," he said. She stopped and looked at him. Straight to the point.

"I have just been wanting to make this surprise fantastic and incradible and, and, and....." he stamered. She laughed and held his head in her hands, not even remembering why she was mad in that moment.

"Just please give me a bit more time. I promise there is no one else, I assure you," he said. She looked into his eyes and decided to believe him.

"Why are you getting so upset with everyone then?" She then asked.

"I wanted things to be perfect, but due to everyone contradicting me, I just....get short tempered," He said. he looked down.

"Sometimes its nice to take others ideas, or at least listen to them," She said. He nodded, knowing she was right, as always. smiling, they decided to walk through the garden, the silly little spat they had was far behind them and in the end, they forgot most of it.

Katie noticed he did get upset at whatever was going on, but he did take what she said to heart, he did decide to listen and take what they stated into consideration. doesnt mean its what he was going to do, but still it was a start. She just needed to keep helping, and that is just what she did.
