Chapter 9

Me and Camila have been dating for a couple weeks now and things couldn't be more perfect. I haven't met her parents yet but hopefully I will soon. We've been dating for nearly three months now so our anniversary is coming up and I know it's not that long but I wanted to do something special for our anniversary.

In two days it would be our three anniversary and I'm ready to say them three words eight letters. I'm far more in love with Camila than I could have ever imagined. Her smile, her eyes, the way she laughs at her own dumb jokes. The way she puts everyone's happiness before her own. She's just amazingly perfect to me and I think it's time I tell her how much she means to me.

I've been talking to Dinah recently about the perfect kind of date that Camila would like. I asked if she has ever talked about a dream date. Dinah told me everything I needed to know and I invited her over so we could plan it.

She's been in my apartment for the past couple of hours planning stuff with me. When we were finally happy with the everything we took a break and went to the pizza place around the corner.

"Mila is on her way, I just texted her so she shouldn't be too long" Dinah said putting her phone back down on the table.

"So are you sure your happy with everything do you need me and the girls to do anything else?" Dinah asked.

"No everything is perfect no need to worry" I reassured her "But thanks so much for everything, I love you DJ"

"I love you to Lolo" she smiled "You make my best friend happy so that's more than I could ask for so thank you too"

"And you with mine too " I chuckled. Her and Mani had been dating for a while now. They started a couple weeks after me and Camila had started dating.

"Looks like we're even then " she joked and we both laughed. The pizza came a couple minutes later and we both took a slice.

Over the past few weeks we had formed a little group. Me, Camila, Dinah, Normani and Ally had become really close. We would meet up once a week at one of our apartments.

Normani had sold her house and come to live with me in my apartment since there was plenty of room. Ally had moved to New York with Troy and had planned to get married during the summer.

Me and Dinah talked about the date making sure we had everything perfect. We both stopped when we seen Camila walking in. She came over to the booth. I gave her a quick kiss before scooting over so she could sit down.

"What were you guys talking about" she asked curious to join in with the conversation.

"Nothing important" I answered a bit too quickly. She gave me a weird look, I kissed her cheek and she thankfully let it slide not asking any more questions.

"So how's you and Mani" Camila asked starting a new topic. Dinah looked down at the table smiling like a goofball. It was so cute how much she liked Mani. She would blush and smile like crazy whenever you even mentioned Normani's name.

"We're good, perfect actually" she said. Me and Camila both "aw'ed" at her cuteness.

"You too keep aw'ing and you'll both get a poly beat down" Dinah stated. We both stopped and she gave us a fake smile. Which me and Camila laughed at. Camila grabbed a slice and we all sat at the booth talking for an hour or so.

"I got to go I told Normani I'd meet up with her at six and it's already five thirty. I'll text you guys later" Dinah said and stood up from the booth.

"Yeah sure bye DJ" I said wrapping my arm around Camila's waist."See you later Chancho don't have to much fun" Camila chuckled. Dinah gave her a wink and left.

"Do you wanna go anywhere tonight since it's only five thirty?" I asked Camila. We both worked Monday to Friday and with Camila being in college with Soccer aswell it was hard to spend time together but we all always found time.

"Ehm, how about the park?" She asked excitedly.

"Yeah perfect" I grabbed her hand and we left the pizza place and made our way to the park.

It didn't take long to get there. We walked as my car was still at the apartment and Camila had gotten a cab from work.

We walked around the park admiring the beauty of the flowers and scenery. Walking hand in hand, we stopped to get some ice cream as Camila practically begged me to. I paid the man and we continued our walk. After finishing our dessert, we decided to lay down in the grass as it was quite a warm day. We lay in silence for a couple minutes but not an awkward silence it was peaceful and relaxing. Camila was the one to break the silence.

"So how's your mom?" She asked I could hear she regretted asking the moment she said it. I had told Camila about my mom a couple weeks into our relationship. I hadn't told her about the deal with Ariana and I never intended to. It meant nothing to me now so I didn't think it was worth telling her.

"Still the same I guess, she's getting weaker were not sure how long she has left now could be hours, days, weeks. We don't know and that's what scares me not the fact that's she's dying it's that I don't know how much longer I have with my mom. Maybe I could accept it if I knew when she's expected to go but the fact that I don't know means I can't accept it" I hadn't even noticed I'd started to cry until I felt Camila wipe a tear away from my cheek with the pad of her thumb.

"Hey, it's okay. Baby look you know when the time does come I'll be here for you. I'm not going to let you go through this on your own" Her voice was comforting so I knew she meant it.

"You promise?" I turned to face her since I was looking straight ahead. I met her gaze. I could stare into those deep brown eyes for the rest our my life and never get bored of them.

"I promise" she cupped my cheek pulling my face in. She took my bottom lip between hers in a passionate kiss. Her hand grabbed the back of my neck pulling me deeper into the kiss.

I placed my hand on her waist pulling her closer to me. Her hand tangled in my hair, as I rolled her on her back and settled between her legs. I brushed my tongue over her lip and she parted letting me deepen the kiss. My tongue explored her mouth, she moaned into the kiss. I could feel my self starting to get hard so I pulled away.

"As much as I would love to continue this I really don't wanna walk around Central Park with a hard on" I chuckled and she burst out laughing.

"Well how about we go back and finish this at my place" she placed her index finger under my chin tilting my head up slightly. Her lips moved to my neck kiss and sucking on my weak spot. I moaned and I could feel her smirk against my skin.

"Yeah I-I think that would be a g-good idea" I stuttered out. She chuckled at my reaction and stood up holding her hand out to help me up. I took her hand and stood to my feet.

"Lead the way" she winked and grabbed my hand and we made our way back to Camila's.
