Chapter 2

Third person's POV:

Doctors and Nurses were able to stabilize Aiah's condition, atleast that's the good news. Unfortunately, she's declared to be under comatose and will be put into the ICU.

Dr. Ramirez: "Mr. and Mrs. Arceta, I know that this news will be much more painful but we need to be honest with your daughter's condition. The accident lead her to being Brain dead.

"B-brain dead doc?! What do you mean? Is this the reason why she's on mechanical ventilator? What are the chances of her surviving?!" Aiah's mother is about to faint with the news.

"Mr. and Mrs. I apologize but yung ventilator nalang ho ang reason why she is with us to this moment. By the time we remove it, there's no more chances of her, surviving." Doc answered in an honest but caring manner.

"What! Aren't you a doctor for a reason?! Isn't saving lives doctors supposed to be doing?!!!!" It was his dad who is already losing it, that responded to the doctor.

"What no! My baby! My precious baby!!!!!" Aiah's mother's last words before she completely fainted.

The nurses assisted Aiah's parents and allowed Mrs. Arceta to be on bed rest as she recovers from the bad news.

Gwen's POV:

"Gwen! Gwen! Gwen!!" I was in total shock and sadness na hindi ko namalayan that Colet was already shouting my name. Tinitignan na kami ng mga staff kaya hinatak na niya ko near sa fire exit.

"I don't know if I should be thanking you for even trying to message me after what happened. I-I don't know anong mararamdaman parang kanina lang ang saya saya pa namin na nagpapasaya ng mga bata and now this?!" Colet's stressed and depressed voice isn't even echoing in my ears.

Nanlalambot pako sa mga nawitness at narinig ko. I can't even utter a word. All I know is, if I had a tear supply sa mga mata ko, ubos na ubos na ubos na.. para nalang akong nakatitig sa kawalan.

"Gwen, I know this is so shocking for the both of us, but Aiah needs us more than ever. Can you please come to your senses even for a while so we can go where she is right now? Kahit hindi na natin pag usapan how, what and why this happened. L-lets just please go to my bestfriend, your girlfriend. She needs you".

Cole's right, I shouldn't be wasting time staring into nothingness. Walang magagawa ang pagtayo ko dito. My Lily needs me ..

I have finally came to my senses and took the steps towards the hallway. Me and Cole maintained the deafening silence as we approach where the ICU is.

Saktong papalabas na ang mommy at daddy ni Aiah. Gustung gusto ko silang yakapin. They both looked so drained, tired and helpless.

"Hello po. We heard what happened po and we rushed to check on Aiah as soon as we heard na kailangan niya pong ma Intensive Care Unit." Bungad ni Cole habang aakmang magmamano.

"H-hi po Mrs. and Mr. Arceta" yun lamang ang tanging nabigkas ng mga labi ko.

"How did you two knew what happened? wala pa naman kaming napagsabihan? Sobrang bilis ng mga pangyayari kahit sino sa mga kamaganak wala pa kaming nasabihan?" nagtatakang tanong ng mommy ni Aiah.

Oo nga pala.. Sinampal nga pala ako ng katotohanan na hindi sila aware about me and Aiah's relationship. Ni hindi pa nga ko nakatapak sa pamamahay nila since naging kami, simply because she wants to make sure na ang unang tapak ko sa loob ng bahay nila is once maformally introduce na niya ko as her partner. and since sobrang busy din ng parents niya, we really never got the chance to meet. Kaya I don't know how to answer nor escape this situation right now. basta ang gusto ko lang makita si Aiah.
